“It’s rare that I write reviews, but our experience at Borgo absolutely deserves one — and for context, my wife and I are truly food obsessed. We moved here from Austin, TX and northern New Jersey, both places where excellent Italian food is easy to find. In the three years we’ve lived here, we’ve tried at least 15 restaurants in the area, and every single one has been forgettable, I’ll leave it at that. Borgo changed that instantly. From the moment we walked in, I noticed something unusual: the dining room was full, yet the atmosphere was calm, lively but not loud. When we sat down, we found ourselves next to three older couples speaking Italian. That alone told me we might finally be in the right place. A lot of restaurants claim to be “family owned,” but at Borgo, it’s the real thing. The entire family is from Italy. The owner came over to welcome us personally and took our order with genuine warmth. His wife is the chef. His sister was checking on tables and making sure everything ran smoothly. The whole experience felt like stepping into a small trattoria in a small Italian town and I don’t say that lightly. The food was exceptional. We started with the burrata with prosciutto and an arugula salad. Both were exquisite. The burrata tasted incredibly fresh and was served at the perfect temperature I don’t know if it’s homemade, but it certainly tasted like it. The arugula was vibrant and peppery, as if it had just been picked, and the dressing was beautifully balanced. For mains, we had the trout, the linguine with mushrooms, and the eggplant parm. Every dish was outstanding, but the eggplant parm stopped me in my tracks — I literally closed my eyes after the first bite. It was that good. Dessert was tiramisu and the limoncello cheesecake, and both were flawless. Light, flavorful, and not overly sweet, exactly how they should be. And the service? Flawless. Warm, attentive, personal, the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like you’re eating in someone’s home rather than a restaurant. It took us 45 minutes to drive to Borgo and we cannot wait to go back. After three years of searching, we finally found a place that feels like the real deal. Simply put, our experience was exceptional.“

“I had all but lost hope on restaurants near Fayette County. It seems to have become a who-can-cook -US Foods-and-Sysco-the-best competition and it’s, frankly, boring. Enter Matt’s Smalltown Pizza. I started a new job down the street and popped in for lunch today. I was greeted warmly and immediately seated and served. I was a bit taken aback by the prices on the wings - until they came to my table. Their wings are enormous and I could not finish my order of 10. The food was piping hot (hot enough that I commented to the waitress about it - why does all restaurant food come out almost room temp these days???) and absolutely delicious. The portions are generous and the fries were audibly crispy; my favorite! I can’t wait to come back and bring my family and friends. 5 star experience and food; looking forward to trying more.“

“Saturday mornings are always busy here but we beat the rush. Our server was slow to get to us at first but the food came out quickly. I can eat there biscuits and apple butter all day every day! Today my sausage was cold and hard, like it was cooked and left to sit too long. My husband's food was bland- he is not a fan.“

They have a beer for everyone here to enjoy and they do beer the right way at Line Creek. It is so refreshing to see the community here rally around such an iconic staple here at Line Creek. “Made a reservation with Open Table for 6pm. Seated right away and ordered by 6:15pm. Caprese salad appetizer arrived promptly. Entrees arrived 7:10pm. Mahi Mahi was very tasty. The Skillet Extravaganza was fantastic. We split it between two people as it was a lot of excellent food. Only knock was the lemon rice was very lemony. The painfully slow service was almost enough to ruin the entire meal.“

“Best Hibachi restaurant I’ve been to since moving to Atlanta..“

“Stopped in this morning to get my coworkers some breakfast. I’ve had Tim Hortons twice in my life but both times someone brought the breakfast to a meeting so I wasn’t real sure what the menu offered.

I have a coworker with a food allergy and he can only eat certain food. There wasn’t a breakfast option for him, other than pastry’s, and he doesn’t need anything sweet.

The manager on duty went out of her way and made him an off-menu item. She didn’t have to do that but it speaks volumes of her character and willingness to put the customer first.

It was a great gesture that made me a TH fan for life! Also, the food was delicious.“
