I’m gonna start this review by saying, I normally don’t eat Gas Station food. However, I was there and the owner was just raving about how good this chicken was, and that it was Dominican, and about the marination process, and everything else. I definitely recommend stopping by Pick a Pollo! Elsa, the owner, and her friend gave me such a warm welcome. I ordered the chicken, rice, and tostones, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The friendly service made the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back!
Stopped by on a whim and ordered the 2 pc meal with tostones. The chicken was well seasoned, moist, and not greasy. The tostones where smashed to the right thickness and were fried perfectly (not under or over fried). I arrived right when a batch of chicken was brought out, so only had to wait for the tostones. Yes, there is a small wait (5-10 mins maybe, can't remember), but worth the wait. The staff is friendly and welcoming.
