“Just beautiful! One of a kind items plus the delicious ice cream. The back deck over looking the river is so relaxing as you eat your ice cream and watch the river tubers come in. The experience is hard to put into words but I will say I intend to go as often as possible. The tubing guy Hank is super cool, handsome and such a gentleman! The owner, Melissa has museum quality displays of family memorabilia to see and enjoy as well. One of my favorite things to purchase is the locally made jams and soaps. Love love this place!”

“My wife and I moved here in late February early March 2025. The Public House was the closest restaurant to where we moved, and when we didn’t have appliances, we started eating there almost every night. The staff is beyond wonderful. From Rob, the bartender who is enormously experienced and just a super guy, to Olivia and Abe and Alicia and Jade and Ryan and God knows we all love CJ the chef and Bobby, the dessert lady. I know I’ve missed some folks on here, but I wanna say that every member of the staff is awesome. The food? My wife and I have been eating there for 10 months and have not had a bad dish. That’s a pretty tough standard to meet. There’s really nothing I could add to improve on this restaurant. It’s become our second home. Give it a shot, you will not regret it.”

“My husband and I went to Helen the week before Christmas for our anniversary and we ate here for dinner our first night and lunch the next day. We enjoyed the food, especially the Mac-n-cheese bites. I had a cheeseburger and fries and he had the bbq plate the first night and grilled cheese and chicken tenders the next day. The service was wonderful! Our waitress was so sweet and we had lovely conversation. We will definitely be back when we are in the area. Thank you for a great dining experience.”

“We visited late on a Sunday 4pm. They close at 5 but we still got to enjoy a tasting. We really enjoyed the Cab Franc & the Cab Merlot blend. Very impressed that all grapes and wine are all from this vineyard as most in N GA source grapes from other regions. After visiting we agreed this is one of our top vineyard in Georgia. Service was great and even had the opportunity to meet with the owner/winemaker and listened to the passion she has for making excellent wines. Highly recommend!!”

“Trattoria is a gem of an addition to Monaluce! Great food and service. Outside service is fabulous with a great fire pit. That being said, there is 1 negative that I hope they fix, or I will limit my visits. It's the wine cost and selection. Even at the finest restaurants in Atlanta 20 to 25 dollars per glass is ok for their finest wines. At Trattoria, their very mediocre wines, (was told a couple of them on the menu are grapes that they bring in), are 20-25 per glass. That, to me, is not a very good selling point. Expand your menu, add some NAPA wines, charge me 20 per glass and I will frequent Trattoria!”

“My husband and I were staying in the area one night and decided to check it out. Glad we did. We enjoyed meeting the owners, Claire and Steve. But most especially enjoyed Tucker and the donkeys. I am not a wine drinker but I really enjoyed the sweet sangria, we did a flight. Beautiful location and scenery. Recommend checking it out!”
