We had gone to some yard sales and decided to have lunch, we had fried fish sandwiches that were excellent with French fries and sweet potato fries. We had fried pickles, cheese nuggets, and fried banana peppers for appetizers. There were 6 of us , and the others had fried shrimp and fried fish. I tried the shrimp, and they were excellent as well. The banana peppers were delicious.Parking: There is street parking as well as a parking area.
Tried Fish Hooks tonight and our overall assessment was that it is very good, worth a return trip in the future. We were seated immediately at about 5:45 p.m. They were busy but not crowded at that time. I had Gator Tail appetizer and found them to be as good as I have had elsewhere. I topped that off with a shrimp poboy and fries. The shrimp poboy was delicious and the fries were well, fries. Sweet tea was excellent. The music was oldies and was loud enough to hear, but not blaring. Conversation was easy over the music.Service was great.The food???I am a bit of a Salmon snob. I don’t remember when I have had better salmon.The salmon was fresh and flaky. I know when salmon has been frozen and this salmon certainly has NOT been frozen.It was tasty, nicely seasoned and grilled just right. The sides were very nice, as well.Great experience and I will be back!
