“This is a great place to go with family, friends, church group group, or co workers. The down fall is they’re only open Thurs- Sat 5-10. That makes 8t a great place to work but a hard place to get to if you work long hours. Some ladies such as myself like to get a break during the week from cooking and having to do dishes. Savings all of it for the weekend when they’re off and have more time.

Down side…. It’s an hour drive from where I live.
Plus side… gave me a chance to work up an appetite.

Down side….when your main meal comes out you may think “that’s it” that the “5 mixed seafood combination “ platter.
Plus side….. your main meal comes after you’ve already eaten an hearty size appetizer and trip to the salad. bar. So my husband who has a very hearty appetite got gator for appetizers, a “one trip” salad bar (as his side instead of fries and having to pay additional for fries. It was delicious he said), and his combo platter consisting of 2 pieces of catfish, shrimp, stuffed crab, scallops, and fried oysters. I thought to myself, I’m so disappointed he’s got to be unhappy. He’s not going to want to come back. But to my joyful surprise he was pleasantly full. He was pleased. He said everything was delicious. He couldn’t even finish it. He had to take it home which in itself was unusual.

My son ordered the surf and turf cooked MEDIUM. And oh my Gosh if that was not the prettiest steak I have ever seen. It was cooked to perfection. The steak took up just about the size of the plate. It came with 2 skewers full of shrimp a baked potato any way you want it, a piece of Texas toast, and a one-trip salad bar. All that for just about $32.00 -$34.00 if I remember correctly. It was def

Down side….and if you go with family and friends and have a lot to talk about and cut up about then you won’t even notice that there isn’t any cellular service out there. So nope, can’t check them messages, or e-mail. You can’t even make or receive a call. So if you have a little one or elder one at home you need to give them Canoochee’s landline phone number in case of an emergency.

Down side…. Because of not having “WiFi” they do not have credit card terminals. Therefore, they do not accept cards. ONLY CASH & CHECKS. and boy my husband drove and I just happened to bring my bag along for the 1hr ride and thank God I did otherwise I wouldn’t have had my checkbooks with me.

Service was incredible! Never had such service at any establishment before. All the waitresses worked together. So no one waitress was assigned to one table. We never sat with an empty glass. They steadily refilled them. There was never an empty dish left on our table. They steadily took away the dirty plates.

Overall we’d have to give a 10/10 but it’s an old restaurant. They’ve been around forever. So it’s not modernized. Though you may think like we did at first, that it might not be that big of a platter but you get so much food overall then you end up taking some home.“
