“I live in Ohio but have family in Georgia. One of the first places I go is the Green Manor. The food is absolutely fantastic, the staff is amazing and the building is just beautiful. An all around great experience. One of my favorite places in Georgia.”

“That was my first time ever ordering here. The place appeared clean, floor, tables, chairs and countertop. The cashier was attentive, kind and patient. He explained the items I had inquired about as best as he could. He had a sort of thick accent for me as an Atlien
😊 Got the food home and it was delicious. I ordered the grilled chicken Po' Boy with fries and the Chicken and Beef Hibachi plate, which came with veggies and rice. The Hibachi and veggies were delightfully flavorful. However, the rice was a bit over cooked. Overall, it was pretty good. Thumbs up!”

“I discovered A Taste of the Island by accident a few months back and I have been on it ever since. Every time I go, the service is good. The food is fresh, and the price point is a great value for the portion size and quality of food.

My go-to quick meal is a Beef Patty with Coco Bread. Now, the beef patties are good and flavorful so you gotta get them early as they usually run out during the day (I get two when I go). The coco bread is always thick, fresh and very buttery. It is great by itself as well as with the patty.

For a main entreè my go-to is the Brown Stew Chicken with Rice and Peas and Steamed Cabbage. Babeeeeeeee. It is a 10/10 every single time. It’s never a miss. The chicken is meaty, well flavored, and perfectly tender. The rice and peas are flavor and tender and hiit even harder with that brawn stew gravy. And that cabbage! My my my, this is steamed cabbage done right.

I’m on a personal mission to try everything at A Taste of the Island, however, the Brown Stew Chicken has me in a hold at the moment. LoL!!!

“China Wok Chinese Restaurant in Union City.

Since moving from New York, where we had a favorite Chinese restaurant with an incredible tasting menu, we have tried several different restaurants in Georgia. I honestly figured I would not find a similar restaurant here in the Atlanta area, but we were absolutely delighted with the results at China Wok.

The food tastes just like the restaurants I regularly visited back home. My family loves the fried chicken, General Tso's chicken, boneless spare ribs, and Lo Mein. China Wok is officially our new favorite Chinese restaurant.
