“This place is too good! Do not miss the chance for some delicious vegan carribean food. The food and service were great. I got the jerk tofu with Jollof rice and WOW! Packed with flavor. I did to-go so I can't comment on the atmosphere but it was a nice space and has a lounge attached to it. I'll definitely be back to check out more on the menu”

“Jill has been an amazing guide and support. Not only has she helped me avoid having to use medications for serious health conditions with her products- especially the sea moss- but she also goes the extra mile to help me from a distance since I live in Florida. I’m truly grateful! 🙏🏽😍”

“I discovered A Taste of the Island by accident a few months back and I have been on it ever since. Every time I go, the service is good. The food is fresh, and the price point is a great value for the portion size and quality of food.
My go-to quick meal is a Beef Patty with Coco Bread. Now, the beef patties are good and flavorful so you gotta get them early as they usually run out during the day (I get two when I go). The coco bread is always thick, fresh and very buttery. It is great by itself as well as with the patty.
For a main entreè my go-to is the Brown Stew Chicken with Rice and Peas and Steamed Cabbage. Babeeeeeeee. It is a 10/10 every single time. It’s never a miss. The chicken is meaty, well flavored, and perfectly tender. The rice and peas are flavor and tender and hiit even harder with that brawn stew gravy. And that cabbage! My my my, this is steamed cabbage done right.
I’m on a personal mission to try everything at A Taste of the Island, however, the Brown Stew Chicken has me in a hold at the moment. LoL!!!
My compliments to the chef!”

“We recently used Jerk Palace to cater an event. Everything was delicious!! Our guests raved about the flavors of everything. The oxtails and the cabbage were favs. We certainly appreciated the warm hospitality that was shown throughout the ordering process. Our order was delivered hot, fresh, and early/on-time. We highly recommend this restaurant and will use them again in the future.”

“This is an older IHOP style layout that shows wear, however it is clean and well run.
I’ve been here a few times this year. Food is perfect. Served promptly. Served with a smile. Team members take pride in their presentation.
I’ve been going to IHOP for about 50 years and this is a very similar looking field to the very first one I ever went to. It is very heartwarming to eat at this older location. The only things that will never be the same are that mom and dad won’t be here to dine with me anymore, but at least it brings back good memories.”

“🚨 Public Service Announcement Yesterday afternoon, I decided to have lunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Union City — Dairy Queen Grille & Chill (6627 Roosevelt Hwy). Those who know me know I’m a stickler for excellent customer service, so when I witness something unacceptable, I speak up. While waiting in line, a middle-aged woman in a manual wheelchair was ahead of me. Sadly, what I witnessed next was nothing short of disturbing. The cashier on duty was rude, dismissive, and downright nasty to this woman. It was clear the guest was a regular, yet the cashier showed her no respect or compassion. Out loud, in front of everyone, the cashier scolded her, saying, “I need you to get your **** together.” Let’s be clear — as a cashier or any customer service professional, it is never your place to demean or publicly embarrass a customer, especially one with physical challenges. When it was my turn to order, the same cashier was just as rude to me. She incorrectly assumed I wanted three #5 meals, and when I corrected her and asked if my meal came with a drink, her attitude grew worse. She slammed a cup, lid, and straw onto the counter in frustration — completely unprofessional behavior. My inner voice told me, “Don’t do it, Kirk. Let it go.” But I couldn’t ignore what I had just seen. When the lady in the wheelchair received her order, it broke my heart to watch her struggle to balance her bag of food on her lap while maneuvering her chair toward the door. I immediately offered to help, and she graciously accepted. Meanwhile, the cashier stood behind the counter, watching and smirking, making no attempt to assist this customer. That was the last straw for me. I sat down and completed the Fan Feedback Survey right then and there, hoping it reached the appropriate management. I made it clear that this cashier needs retraining or reassignment to a position that doesn’t involve direct customer interaction. Her behavior is a blemish on this franchise — and absolutely does not reflect Dairy Queen’s brand values. This location has a wall dedicated to children’s health centers, including what appears to be a photo of a child in a wheelchair. The irony is heartbreaking. As much as I love Dairy Queen’s food and appreciate how clean this location is, I refuse to support any establishment that allows its employees to mistreat customers — especially those with physical challenges. It’s wrong, childish, unprofessional, and plain evil. Do better, Dairy Queen. Your customers — and your reputation — deserve better. — Kirk L. Wilcox / The Duke of Atlanta”

“The cashier that took my order was so patient because of course I know some food names but not all in their language. I had Google maps pulled up with pics that others posted and the cook came up and thumb up what pictured I showed. I ordered my food and it was ready in 5 mins. I got home and I live about 10 mins from here and my food was still hot. I ordered the steak and chicken fajitas that came with rice and refried beans. OMG When I say that was the best fajita I ever built lol…
I’m convinced the cook made my food with love cause he saw me showing the picture lol. This my new ducked off Mexican spot.
The only bad thing I can ask them to fix is the floor being so slippery. Other than that food, service and timing of receiving my food was all 10s. Thank you🫶🏾”
“Best cupcakes, candy apples, and pop corn. But most of all I over the passion and enjoyment she shows when preparing all the sweets. Forever a Pink Kakery mom and customer 😍”
