“I was visiting from Boston and was pleasantly surprised to find an authentic jamaican food restaurant in the neighborhood. The food was great. I wished I had gone back before I left but they closed at 7pm, which is the only complaint I could offer.“

“This is hands down some of the best food I’ve ever tasted in my life. I discovered this place while looking for food options in an area I just moved to, and it popped up with nearly five-star reviews. I remember thinking, How does a restaurant with ratings like this exist here and I’ve never heard of it? I knew I had to try it.

From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by Chef JP, who was incredibly kind, warm, and friendly. The food looked amazing—fresh, hot, and full of flavor—and I couldn’t wait to try it. He even let me sample a few items, which I truly appreciated since I’m very particular about what I eat.

I’ve been pescatarian for almost 10 years, but this year I added chicken back into my diet after becoming a new mother and breastfeeding. My nutritionist and lactation nurse recommended more protein, so I made the change. The fact that this place offers both fish and chicken options is a huge plus. They even have turkey wings, which I’ve never tried before but am definitely planning to try next.

I was blown away by the portion sizes, the value, and most importantly, the freshness and taste of the food. Everything was incredible. I literally sat there thinking, This is my new go-to spot. I’m a great cook myself, but finding food this good—especially in a new area—is rare.

This place is truly a hidden gem, and more people need to know about it. I told Chef JP I would leave a review, and here it is. He deserves a 10-star rating, but since Google only allows five, just know that everything was a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.“

“I came in today, just wanting something different than the usual fast food etc etc. I’m from Brooklyn New York City, and I’ve done had my fair share of Jamaican and Caribbean food. I’ve also traveled to Jamaica on several occasions. I’ve also served 12 years in the Army and have been to and experienced many countries and cultures and food. But when I say today Momma Ann (the chef and cook) did her thing…I mean just that. She did her thang. You know the saying. The food so good it make you want to slap your momma. Well my momma is dead and that plate today made me want to dig her up and smack something lol. I’ve been to several golden krust as well and maaaaaan I promise you they couldn’t replicate or duplicate what she was able to do. Not even if Simone says. Wasn’t expecting this at all. But the food was fresh. It was hot. It was seasoned. It was flavorful. It was moist. I had to call after leaving just to ask for her name to give her her credit on this review. The manager and rest of the staff was very nice, patient, and professional. That meal food was heaven prepped. Thank you“

“I enjoyed my meal overall but wanted to leave a review here since for whatever reason ubereats would allow me to rate my order.I wanted to give this order 5 stars because overall I really did enjoy my meal but there just a few things preventing me from doing so.I ordered the spaghetti it’s a TASTY and HUGE portion of food. But my garlic bread was very BURNT. So burnt I’m surprised they thought it was fit to serve.The salmon with rice and salad was good! You get a ton of Haitian rice. I never had it before but really enjoyed it. Although the rice had a slightly burnt taste to it. Like the rice itself wasn’t burnt but maybe the bottom of the pot was. But it was still edible and well seasoned but the burnt after taste does linger. Also, they forgot to include my plantains.Lastly, I ordered what was labeled “Haitian Kola” on Uber eats thinking it was some sort of fancy Hatian cultural soda and was really excited to try a new drink but it turned out to be regular old fashioned coke. I was a bit disappointed and had I known it was regular Coke I would not have ordered it.Overall the items that bothered me weren’t enough to write this place off completely. Everyone has off days so I will try it again. But next time I’ll try it in person instead of ubereats.Like I said great taste and HUGE portions. Will give them another try.“

“Soooo good! Great service and greeted when we walked in the door. We had the jerk wings, chicken curry, cabbage, peas and rice, and plantains....yuuuuum. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and laid back Christian reggae music playing in the background. If I lived in the area it would be a regular spot for me. “This place is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. Whenever I I need a delicious lunchon, this is the place that comes immediately to my head. superb and all sorts of food and a large list of dishes.trained team, and pleasant ambience. Also, the tariff is affordable. I praise this restaurant with no hesitation.“

“I LOOOOOVEEEE THEIR FOOD! The jerk chicken is absolutely AMAZING! ITS THE BEST JERK IVE EVER HAD! The flavors will make your taste buds explode! I've been eating from here for the last 3 years and I've never been disappointed! The owners are always nice and the patties and plantains are delicious! These people have the BEST sweet plantains, I've been to other places and nothing compares!

Also the prices and portions are beyond reasonable. I normally eat off of my plate for atleast 2 days!“

“You can almost never go wrong here, if you want some good Jamaican food. The food is always good. I love the oxtail. I live the curry goat. I love the macaroni. I do not care for the cabbage as much. I feel it needs a little more seasoning. The plantain are pretty nice too.“

“Yo I have been looking for good wings for a minute now. Atl used to be the wing capital. Not the wings are trash. VIP HITS HITS!!!! THE CAROLINA GOLDS ARE WHAT THE GAME BEEN MISSING. And you know a good wing spot when someone like me tried extra extra hot 🥵 (and I don’t super hot like that at all) mouth burning but the flavor of the sauce popped harder than the spice. “BEST gotdamn rice and peas I've had in a long while. I get it with ox tail gravy and I also get the cabbge. I mix the two. It's super good. I tried the ginger drink that's made in house and it's reallly good, almost better than when I juice myself. I'm not one to write reviews if I do it's because something is eitehr that good or that bad. This is that good. I live down the street for years and work in the area and never knew they were there.
