“The Szechuan Chicken is incredible! The spice is warm but not overwhelming and always has my brow sweating after a few bites. The Mongolian Beef and Chicken are also fantastic: very saucy and garlicky. The steamed veggies accompanying the entrees add a nice crunch and freshness.“
“My first time here, I didn't know a great quality country food restaurant was nearby.I will be back, and so will my new friends in our group sharing the burdens! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the owner are very nice to chat with. They do have an all you can eat crab legs and catfish, one night a month, call to see when. I know the catfish is under $20 Great place, food, service and was better than my expectations, oh and they give BIG portions, they do close at 2 pm ,gotta get there early for breakfast or lunch!Vegetarian options: I had a baked potato and salad, but I arrived late, so I didn't order the 8oz sirloin.Parking: Shopping strip. Plenty of parking!Kid-friendliness: I saw kids having a nice time.Wheelchair accessibility: If you find one, then yes. It is a shopping strip, so you can park all the way at the end of the lot, and you will find a spot!“
“Went there tonight to get something to eat and I had the beef brisket with Mac and cheese with greenbeens and corn bread everything was great see I'm a truck driver and most truck stops only have fast food so when I get a chances to get real food I take it and this is one of the best BBQ places I have eaten at I took a Pic of what I had and if u don't mined I would like to post the name of your restaurant on my social media page with the Pic of what I eat“
“Now, when you first walk in it doesn't look all that special and in fact i considered leaving. However I'm glad i stayed because that pulled pork sandwich and mac n cheese made dreams come true.To the owners, if yall just add some ambiance and maybe some music this place would be a 10/10“
“We had the pulled pork sandwiches, and homemade mac-n-cheese. Both were SO GOOD!!! The pulled pork tasted good with or without the BBQ sauce, it was smoked and juicy. The mac-n-cheese you can tell it's homemade, and not boxed. It doesn't have that powdered taste. My hubby and I will be back for more...“
“This is also known as the Landmark Diner, and they have THE BEST food! Mr. Steve certainly knows how cook! The very best fried catfish, fried chicken, baked chicken, neck bones, jambalaya, chicken and dumplings, and whatever else he decides to cook is always, always awesome! Sweet potatoes, greens, pinto and green beans, peas, Mac and cheese, grits, mashed potatoes, potato salad, cole slaw, etc., awesome! Be hungry, cause it's a buffet!! Very affordable.“
“I grew up just a couple minutes away from this restaurant, as a little girl. My dad (chuckie mack) was close with the owner. We would always stop by for lunch/dinner. Like all the time. The owner being a friend of our and the family working always were so nice! The food is absolutely amazing. Best bbq I’ve ever had honestly. If you’re looking for a down to earth, amazing, bbq and atmosphere. This is THE place !!!!“
“Another round at Longhorns!! Absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, we did not stay to eat, and as always, the service was tremendous. We chose curbside and did not wait long. The kindness of the staff is remarkable! As she brought out the food, she was kind enough to hold the door for several people going in and out and all with an awesome smile and kindness. She greeted us the same way, and it just made our experience greater. Oh, and the food was awesome too! Steaks and ribs cooked perfectly; everything packed and labeled perfectly. Just awesome. Needless to say, we'll be back!“
“Haven’t been to shame for years since I wasn’t impressed the last time we went, but my friend taught me into going again, and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean it was the service was excellent and the food was really good this “
“Authentic Brunswick stew, delicious tender ribs, and perfectly cooked onion rings. The first thing that came to mind is Hidden Gem. They were incredibly busy when we came, which sort of delayed the server from taking our order. Our drink refills seemed to never come. The food did come out quite quickly. I really can't wait to go back here because it was so good and affordable. The parking lot was awkward but we were able to find a spot. You wouldn't think much of the place just driving by. I sure am glad we visited them!“
“Evan’s is the real deal if you like BBQ. The spare ribs keep the tips on them so they are very large. They are served in a pail, which was cool. The ribs were fantastic. A nice marbled outside which I love. The sauces are really good. They have a sweet BBQ sauce and a spicy. Both are great and the spicy won’t kill you. It’s tasty more than HOT.I was informed I needed to try the Fried BBQ Egg rolls. This is a must order. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever had. Just delicious. Dunk them in BBQ or dunk them in the provided spicy remoulade, or just eat them straight, you really can’t go wrong. If you only get one thing, get the fried bbq egg rolls. A Completely unique twist on an egg roll. The beans were fantastic and I loved the corn bread also. The only thing I didn’t like was the slaw. It’s just too “smooth” for me. Very fine and not crunchy. I’m sure others may like it, but it’s not for me.When you go, the seating is in the back either outside between the buildings, or in the back building. It’s odd.Evan’s is a terrific meal. I’ll certainly be back the next time I’m anywhere near the area.Parking: Park in the large lot and walk into the back building or sit outside between the buildings.“
