Captain D's is a seafood restaurant that offers a variety of dishes, including a large fish sandwich and a Fisherman platter. The fish sandwich is praised for its taste, and the restaurant is recognized for its crispy and hot fish. Customers enjoy the hush puppies and seasoned green beans as sides. The variety of meal options, from grilled to fried, allows for flexibility based on cravings. The dining area is clean and quiet, providing a nice break from the usual fast-food hustle. The staff is usually friendly, and the service is quick, making it a good choice for lunch or a casual dinner.
However, it’s important to note that Captain D's may not offer super fresh or gourmet seafood, as it leans more towards comfort food-style. There have been reports of issues with orders being incomplete or incorrect, and some customers have mentioned that portion sizes can vary. While most visits result in great food and quick service, there may be occasional inconsistencies. Overall, Captain D's is a reliable choice for classic fried seafood in a quick and easy setting, though there are areas where it could improve. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, with both doors accommodating those in need.
