“Delicious, homestyle food perfectly cooked and a great variety of meal choices at very reasonable prices. They have a large, standard, daily menu plus revolving daily specials of the main course, sides, and desserts. Very friendly staff, consistent food quality, and the convenience of call-ahead orders with pickup at the drive-through window. My favorite meal is country fried chicken breast filet with white gravy, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, and red velvet cake for dessert!!! If they had delivery service and added soups and chili to the menu, i might not ever eat anywhere else. 😊Julie Williams“

“We stopped at Classic City midweek coming back from Lake Oconee. The place is a good size. A lot of tables, a big bar, and a small stage for live music, karaoke or whatever. They have arcade games in the back, maybe for the kids. This place could hold some pretty large groups. We ordered a Greek chicken wrap with fries, a southern salad and hot buffalo wings. Our service was good. The wings were awesome! Pretty surprising, we have had some good wings lately at a few different restaurants. Good sized, covered in hot sauce, Super crispy. Good ranch too. Salad was average, but the fried chicken on the salad was really good. The pickles chopped up and mixed in- I wasn’t expecting that. We would definitely go back for the wings! They have Trivia here also. They serve a regular menu and a pizza menu with calzones. The sandwiches looked really good too. Worth a try if looking for a place in the area or to watch a game.“

Mya was a great server, and the restaurant is housed in a very cool historic building that adds a lot of character to the experience.

We visited on a Tuesday, so it wasn't very crowded, though we made a reservation just in case. My guess is that during the school year it probably gets much busier.

I ordered the hamburger with Hot Fries. The burger was cooked perfectly to my requested medium-rare, which impressed me since thinner patties often end up closer to medium or well-done. The only minor critique was the bun. The burger and toppings were very juicy, and the bottom bun became soggy fairly quickly. That said, it was still a delicious burger.

The Hot Fries were excellent, with a unique airy crispiness that made them stand out. They were flavorful without being greasy at all.

Overall, a solid meal, great service, and a place I'd happily visit again.“

“My favourite out of a bucket full of great restaurants in Athens. It's a counter top order but someone delivers your meal in quick time and hot. But the food is why you come here. Southern through and through. There is not a thing on the menu I wouldn't bring home for dinner or just can't wait and order in. We ordered Christmas dinner from the Preacher and everyone said AMEN! The fried chicken is mouthwatering juicy good. The Pot Roast is just like your grandmother cooked it for hours. The Collard Greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas are scrumptious. Just go there. It's terrific.“

“The food and service were fantastic! The coffee wasn’t the best, but that isn’t what I went for. The staff is TOP NOTCH! Don’t go by the online menu though; it is completely outdated! I read the menu link on trip advisor when choosing the restaurant and it was very misleading. All in all a 10 out of 10 experience! Would go again!“

“I am not a fan of corporate BBQ.....but I do enjoy theirs. The people are friendly and the food is the same. The ribs were juicy and tender, the pulled pork (my personal favorite) is always a good choice. I am from the south but my taste buds are all over the place, I like a spicy sauce and a mustard base here you can make that happen.“

“Its always a quick sit down. I usually always get seated quickly and get the food fast and fresh. They have the best chicken tenders. They are so incredibly crispy and breaded well. Get them tossed in honey hot and get some ranch to dip them in and your golden. This place knows how to fry chicken. Better than any other spot ive been too. Very inexpensive too.“

“I love Cracker Barrel. 90 % of the time we get a great meal. However every time I order mash potatoes they are cold and lumpy. Someone needs to learn how to make mash potatoes. A little milk and butter will solve your problem.“
