“Nice to have a quaint little place downtown! Everybody is family there!“

“I always go to HNB in Waycross when I come here to work in the area. I usually get the smoked chicken and pork ribs plate. The sides are always good as well. This time the meats didn't seem as good as usual. The outer skin on the chicken didn't have a little bit of crispness like I'm used to, but the meat was still good and moist. I don't know if they are no longer associated with Jerry J's, but I didn't see any evidence of their partnership. I also didn't see a selection of their BBQ sauces. I liked to mix some of the different flavors to make my own, but was only offered some plastic pouches of whatever flavor they had. I'll still return when I'm back in Waycross.“

“Stopped in for lunch and was blown away with the food. This place punches WAY above its unassuming exterior.Hard to pin down a favorite but can not go wrong with any of their large selection of sushi rolls or sashimi.Not local, but worth the drive. Definitely a stop off with in 30 min.“

Nearly every menu item is a reasonable or even cheap price, and the quality is mid-grade to high quality. In my book that means "It almost always tastes great and properly cooked, but can vary sometimes depending on who's cooking."I have to recommend the large Teriyaki chicken bowl (or entree if you want some good veggies too), ask for extra teriyaki sauce, as well as the Volcano Roll.The volcano roll is basically a deep-fried sushi, with crab meat and cream cheese on the inside. It is stacked up into the shape of a volcano, with spicy mayo and eel sauce running down from the top as if it were lava. Unlike its name may suggest, it is not spicy at all. But it IS hot, gooey, with the refreshing taste of crab to finish it off.The staff here are generally friendly, even with a lunch rush going on. My only wish for this place to improve is getting a bigger restaraunt for more dining space. It's a bit crowded and you often end up snuggling in next to a random stranger due to the awkward seating, or having waiting customers glaring at you for taking your time eating because they want your table. Also, when eating soup, I would appreciate a real spoon, not a cheap plastic one that melts. And they used to play music appropriate to the culture and theme of the restaraunt -now it's just pop music.To summarize, Great food, great prices, nice staff, but awkward restaraunt. Even with the restaraunt itself being a bit of a downer, this place still gets a solid 5 from me.“

“We stopped in after a swim meet for lunch this last Saturday and I’ve never left a review anywhere but felt the need to get on and let this store know they are doing a great job. The employees, each and everyone of them was so friendly and welcoming. They were really busy and the lady that took our order was super sweet and let us sample the pork and steak since we hadn’t tried the pork before. Both were seasoned perfectly. My husband and daughter had the steak and I had the chicken. All of it was fresh and delicious! The queso was on point! It was smooth and creamy. The infused drinks were delicious. My main point I wanted to point out really was the employees. They were kind, caring and welcoming, each and everyone of them, I believe there were 5 were just fun to interact with. It made the whole experience a positive one. We only wish we lived closer to visit more often.“
