“We sat at the bar and was charmed by Trevor, our bartender. We sampled several tequilas recommended by him and each were great. Had carne asada and it was delicious. Will most definitely return and hope to see Trevor behind the bar. Personality plus!“
“Great spot for unique and delicious tacos. We went on Monday night when they had $5 margaritas. The tacos came out fast and the margaritas were not weak! Our server was friendly and quick to respond to us. The place did fill up fast after we got there. Highly recommend and would go back for sure!“
“Nice place. Decent tex mex food. Was air conditioned. I had a California burrito, it was ok...not a lot of flavor, but it wasn't bad. My husband had the lunch fajita, he said it was fine but not memorable. Our son had a steak quesidella he said it was good. Our other son had a fajita quesidella, he said it was good. Would I stop here again? Yeah probably. Would I say this is the best Mexican restaurant, no. But I would come again.“

Lunch portions and selection from the menu is exceptional.Honestly, I recommend going to lunch here. They had Mexican soda. The parking is easy and they have outside tables. The bakery was very tempting but we resisted. We will be back again.“
“It's my first time visiting Savannah and I stumbled upon this restaurant near our hotel and I absolutely loved it! The service was very quick and to-the-point and we were able to sit outside on the patio which was super cute and peaceful. I ordered the combo dinner with two tacos and rice and beans and I chose the carnitas and a carne asada tacos. All of the food was wonderful (including the chips and salsa) but the tacos were truly outstanding. So flavorful and really generous portions. I highly recommend this place!“
“This place clearly needs new management. I don’t know why it’s acceptable to have two servers who both give extremely bad service, are extremely RUDE, and take money from you. Yadirah and Ebony. Ask for anyone else BUT them. It’s been 3 different events where I’ve left a tip on the card but have more money taken out of my account and that DOES NOT include the 3% that they charge. I asked to speak to manager and I get redirected to someone else who isn’t a manager.“
“Found Kayak Kafe on Yelp and decided to give it a go. The parking lot was packed which we believe is a good sign that the food is good but we may have to wait. To our surprise there were still a few open tables so we grabbed a seat. We started off our meal with a Cucumber Lemonade. It was light, tasty and very refreshing. I ordered the Turkey Cubano with Turkey Chili and my wife got the Lime Chicken Tacos. Everything was simply delicious. If I lived in Savannah then this place would be a must go to weekly. “My husband and I went next door to the North Beach Bar & Grill- We came in around 1-2pm on a Thursday and sat at the bar outside. Staff seemed short staffed and slow. Received drinks when we arrived and then it took a while someone to come back and check on us. We both decided to go next door to the Salty Pelican and were not disappointed! The Mac n’ Cheese bites were cheesy and spicy! The chicken quesadilla was also so good! Definitely recommend!“
“The food was delicious and they had a decent amount of vegan/vegetarian options. However, I did get a jalapeño margarita, and it was just okay.. didn’t really taste the jalapeño until I got close to the end - it almost just tasted like a lime margarita made with a store bought margarita mix. The atmosphere may have been better inside, but I did sit at one of the tables outside.“

“Vacationed here in Savannah and husband and I were craving Mexican food but since it was getting dark, we opted someplace close by and found Cilantro's. Typical Mexican restaurant with typical Mexican menu but one item caught my eye - Texas Tacos. Think alambre inside a soft corn taco shell - bacon crumbles with steak bites. YES!!! It was so good never mind the jalapenos burning in my mouth! I LOVE TEXAS TACOS!!! Never had it before and it is now a week later and I WANT TEXAS TACOS...too bad there isn't one here made where I live but when I get back to Savannah, I am ordering some more TEXAS TACOS!!! Oh, husband got his usual Mexican steak fajitas with flour tortillas. He ALWAYS gets the same order no matter which Mexican restaurant he visits.“
