“I love the concept! The Mexican Mocha was delicious, smooth, and not too sweet at all. I had it both hot and iced, highly recommend! We tried the classic breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito; both were decent though fairly bland, but I’d still go back. Get the coffee!“

“Great spot for unique and delicious tacos. We went on Monday night when they had $5 margaritas. The tacos came out fast and the margaritas were not weak! Our server was friendly and quick to respond to us. The place did fill up fast after we got there. Highly recommend and would go back for sure!“

“Truly a hidden gem. Finding this place is like being let in on a secret. Looking for great tacos? Check. Looking for incredible carnitas? Check. Oh wait how about this one? Are you looking for the best tortas in town? These might be the best tortas I've ever had. Amigos taqueria is incredible. (Try the tortas!)“

“Have been a loyal customer to Jalisco Fresh since they opened a little before covid. I love their snack selection to sweet and sour to savory and salty. Corn cup (10/10): 100% yes. If you hate biting corn off the cob, this is for you. Usually I'd get a tray because I can finish the entire thing but I literally had snacks before my lunch. Get it spicy with sour cream! Mangonada (9/10): only taking off a star because it so hard to mix sometimes, but the sour, tangy kick with the sweet-sour mango was fantastic. Owners are so kind, they are so polite and sweet. I love seeing them. It's usually lots of seating and wifi to use. Great place to hang with friends!“

“Food and margaritas were good. But you need to read the fine print on the menu. 3 individual tacos (3*$4.50=$13.50) cost less than a set of 3 tacos ($14), unless you take 3 of the same($12).We thought it was an error and pointed that out to the waitress, but she explained that she didn't make the rules...That does not seem very honest.“

“Best mexican food in the Savannah area!!!! No competition. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere was immaculate and the music was bumping. The man working the hot line had an energy to him that was absolutely contagious. Gracias por una cena maravillosa. Regresamos pronto?“

“The place doesn't look like much and sits next to a fast food giant but the food and the people are great. Visited many times and have yet to be let down. Brush up on your Spanish and get ready to enjoy the fire roasted chicken, carnitas or even the street taco selection.“

“Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The service has always been great and the food is perfect portion sizes for my wife, daughter and myself. Lunch portions and selection from the menu is exceptional.Honestly, I recommend going to lunch here. Never so busy you can't get sat and quality of service and food don't drop as other places I've been too for lunch.“

“Good tacos and very casual atmosphere. We sat outside on their nice covered patio. The chips and salsa arrived quickly. The salsa was great, not too spicy. We ordered queso and then some street tacos. Everything tasted great and was prepared as the menu stated. I would recommend!“

“El Sazon offers the best Mexican food in town! Everything is fresh and cooked perfectly. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with plenty of tables, booths and seats at the bar. They offer daily food and drink specials. You can’t beat $2 off tacos on Tuesdays! The Sante Fe steak, avocado & jalapeño taco is my favorite! Great service, reasonably priced and the best kitchen staff around!“

“Service was quick and the menu has a wide variety of dishes available! Good little lunch spot in the sandfly area. The drinks were good, but my spicy margarita had way too many jalapeño seeds and wasn't spicy. It was like the regular house margarita with a few slices of jalapeño in it.“

“Stopped there about two weeks ago. It was our first time (recently moved here from Phoenix). The chicken fajitas were phenomenal! I've never seen so much chicken in my entree! The chips and salsa were good, too. My only complaint would be the margarita. It was like drinking sugar water. Asked our waitress if they had a "Cadillac" margarita and she said no. If they offer one or offer more margarita choices we'd go back often.“

“We just got to try out this hidden gem last weekend. Let me just start by saying we were not disappointed at all. Our bartender daisy was an absolute gem!! Also she knew what a dressed beer is (which is rare in Georgia). She made our whole experience amazing. Everything is reasonably priced and the food is delicious. We will most definitely be returning!!“

“It's my first time visiting Savannah and I stumbled upon this restaurant near our hotel and I absolutely loved it! The service was very quick and to-the-point and we were able to sit outside on the patio which was super cute and peaceful. I ordered the combo dinner with two tacos and rice and beans and I chose the carnitas and a carne asada tacos. All of the food was wonderful (including the chips and salsa) but the tacos were truly outstanding. So flavorful and really generous portions. I highly recommend this place!“

“This place clearly needs new management. I don’t know why it’s acceptable to have two servers who both give extremely bad service, are extremely RUDE, and take money from you. Yadirah and Ebony. Ask for anyone else BUT them. It’s been 3 different events where I’ve left a tip on the card but have more money taken out of my account and that DOES NOT include the 3% that they charge. I asked to speak to manager and I get redirected to someone else who isn’t a manager.“

“First time trying this place and it was great .. Friendly staff, great food , environment. We are from Arizona and can't get Mexican food like La salsa and the price we would have paid double in AZ for less quality..We will be back to try more of the menu!“

“Found Kayak Kafe on Yelp and decided to give it a go. The parking lot was packed which we believe is a good sign that the food is good but we may have to wait. To our surprise there were still a few open tables so we grabbed a seat. We started off our meal with a Cucumber Lemonade. It was light, tasty and very refreshing. I ordered the Turkey Cubano with Turkey Chili and my wife got the Lime Chicken Tacos. Everything was simply delicious. If I lived in Savannah then this place would be a must go to weekly. “Very unique Mexican Restaurant. It is a very casual vibe. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. We had to use our phones as we didn’t know many of the food offerings. They had Mexican soda. The parking is easy and they have outside tables. The bakery was very tempting but we resisted. We will be back again.“

“Our waiter was extremely friendly and he was very helpful with making sure we had the best service and delivery! I wish I got his name so I could write it down but I enjoyed his energy as well. The caldo tlalpeño had a lot more flavor and wasn’t watered down (unlike the other location) and I enjoyed how they weren’t holding back on the spices either. The enchiladas however were a bit disappointing because the sauce was watered down. It’s a shame though because the portion sizes were big and perfect, especially for the guacamole.Parking: Parking sizes were kinda small“

“This place is such heaven on earth that I just had to add it to Yelp. Everyone needs to know that this is, hands down, the absolute best Mexican food in the area. The flavors are money, the prices are unbeatable, and the home-cooked feel of it all is so authentic. This is a Mexican market divided into three sections: The market side with grocery items, a corner with tables and chairs ("the restaurant"), and the meat market side. There is street parking and the store itself can feel a bit cramped. Not to worry, that just means that they have a huge selection of groceries and wonderful customer service. I ordered tacos carne asada and tacos al pastor. The tacos are $3 each and are served on homemade corn tortillas, chopped onions and cilantro, and salsa verde and roja on the side. Outstanding flavors and good portions. The sauces have a nice kick. I also ordered tamales and they deserve their own Yelp page. They are the best tamales on earth (don't tell my mother-in-law). The dough is extremely soft but not soggy. They're wrapped in authentic green leaf so the aroma is preserved nicely. The pork in the tamal was so flavorful and tender. The chicken was white meat and seasoned to perfection. It's the first chicken tamale I've had where the chicken wasn't dry. At $2.50 each, I will be ordering them by the tray load next time. If you ever go and see me camping outside, I'm likely waiting for the store to open so I can get more tamales. While waiting for my food, I ventured into the meat counter section. I was completely impressed by how efficient and quick the guys were cutting and packaging meat. I ended up getting 2lbs of churrasco meat for barely $20, and I grabbed fresh limes, cilantro, onions, fresh avocados, and a packet of homemade corn tortillas for dinner. I'm never getting my meat from a chain supermarket again. Not at the prices that this place has to offer and the freshness. The guys at the counter were friendly and the butcher offered to cut/package the meat however I wanted it. By the time I went to the register to pay, the sweet lady that took my to-go order handed me my food. So I went to the register and they packaged everything for me. My groceries came out to $40 exactly (and I have at least 3 dinners for me and my husband, and enough tortillas to feed an army), and the food was $25 (6 tacos and 2 tamales). I am absolutely coming back. Often. This is the place where I'll come to get meat for the week, and I'm definitely coming back to keep trying the menu and have more of those heavenly tamales.“

“I have been here several times. The first time was right after they opened and it was fair, food and service. I met one of the managers, Andres, outside of the restaurant, and decided to go back and try it again. The food is amazing and the servers are amazing. I am very glad my husband and I went back for another try. I am from Arizona and am serious about my Mexican food. I really had not found any place that was very good until I ate here. Highly recommended!“

“The food was so fresh and so delicious! Some of the best, most authentic Mexican food I’ve had outside of Mexico! The presentation was beautiful. The server was so friendly and the person who cooked our food came out to make sure we liked what we ordered. My family and I were pleasantly surprised! We will be back!“

“We stayed next door at the Holiday Inn Express. It was recommended by the hotel staff. Oh my goodness, excellent food and super generous portions. Prices are cheap-steak, shrimp and chicken were tender and perfect. Loved the complimentary salsa and chips. We highly recommend this non chain gem! Server staff efficient and friendly. A WIN for sure.“

“The food service and atmosphere were all good. I sat with my salad till my entree came out because I couldn't get the attention of a server to ask for utensils. The atmosphere is your typical Mexican restaurant, a bit slightly better.“

“The location itself is really cool, I really loved the old diner feel to it! The food was so delicious, but I will say that the portions are very small for the price. $15-$17 dollars for a fairly small burrito with no sides is kind of crazy BUT the flavor was amazing (especially with the red hot sauce)“
