Such a great find! How dis I not know about this place earlier? I feel like Im late to the party! Woodbine is a town tucked away in the woods and it feels a bit like time forgot it. Capt Stans is laid back and comfortable. Its a BBQ joint and a venue, but doesn't come off like a bar. The food is wonderful and the people are as well. I recommend the soul bowl!
What a fun find!! We went about 4:00 pm on a Sunday and there was live music! The song that was being sung at the time reminded me of one of my favorite Jimmy Buffett songs, "God's Own Drunk'. It has a very eclectic vibe, which I absolutely loved! It is like sitting in your friend's backyard. The staff was all super nice and made sure we were taken care of. Stumbled on this place, and since then time our trips South to get here at suppertime! Indoor-outdoor atmosphere is funky, sometimes there is entertainment, but it's all about the BBQ!
