“I'm all about the AYCE hotpot game, but sometimes will indulge in a la carte places because the quality is likely better. And this was definitely the case with Ichiriki.
We stopped by around 6pm and had a short 15 min wait for a party of 2. My first thought was that it was freezing inside - the AC was blasting. But by the end of dinner it actually felt nice, so thanks for keeping us comfortable by the end.
For my meal, I orders the Minamoto set at $48 which came with an appetizer platter, chicken karaage, chanko set and shave ice. I chose the choice ribeye set and paitan broth. We also ordered the pork kimchi. All the apps were very good! At first I thought the pork kimchi was lacking pork, but it was buried underneath all the kimchi. The app platter was good and included cold tofu, edamame, poke + the karaage. The only item we didn't like was the poke - very offputting taste. The actual chanko set was also good. Even though the amount of ribeye was minimal (again, I'm more team AYCE), I left sufficiently full with all the apps and other shabu accompaniments. Now what I LOVED was the paitan broth. It was SO incredibly flavorful. I asked for a refill nearing the end ans also asked for to go containers so I could take home the left over broth and cook up so yummy ramen the next day. The ending green tea shave ice was also refreshing and delicious.
Our server was friendly and checked in with us often. Parking is easy. Will definitely be coming back and getting that paitan broth again!“

“My favorite hotpot place on Oahu! Their Thai broth is to die for. The beef broth also tastes like refreshing pho. They have fridges where you go up and get plates of toppings yourself (veggies, some seafood, fish balls). You have to order the meat though. You can also make your own dipping sauce at the station. Service is nice and friendly!“

“Chinese style hotpot that has a well-balanced, bold, and aeromatic flavor in their broth. In addition, adding good quality meats and fresh vegetables makes this restaurant a comforting place to eat.
Vegetarian options: There is a section where anyone can order various vegetables sets.
Parking: Metered street parking is free after 5pm, or free on holidays and Sundays. There's also theres the mall parking structure“
“I love Hot Pot restaurants, especially the AYCE ones. If you only eat the meats and the vegetables it makes a very healthy, low carb meal option. Its also very fun. I took my family here on a recent visit. I advise to make reservations if you have a big group or during the weekends. The customer service was good, very attentive staff. The selections of meats, seafood and vegetables was very good. Lots of choices. The cuts of meats was not the best, but good. The veggies was fresh. The ambience was very modern. They have a full service bar so thats a positive. Food quality was good. The base of good Hot Pot is the broth. The broth was delicious. Everyone in our party was pretty happy and all agreed it one of the best Hot Pot restaurant in town. This is a great restaurant for everyone to try. I highly recommend it.“

“A hot pot, and BBQ restaurant located in the basement of Waikiki Shopping Plaza, inside the newly open food court Stix Asia. Good foods. Friendly staffs. Fast services during early evening. For hot pot, there are varieties of selections, paired with different broths. BBQ grill is also a good choice - it will be a little-bit smelly during cooking.“

“Having a hot pot after snorkeling is definitely a good choice ??? i like the atmosphere when I came in all staffs are nice just like you are visiting your aunt's home.
We ordered curry and beef pho base, they made by many ingredients makes both more flavorful.
There are many choices of broth and ingredients. You can make your own style hot pot!!“

“First time dining here. Parking is cheaper if you use the QRCode inside the restaurant instead of the one posted in the parking lot in back. My aunt made reservations as she really liked this place. The staff were so friendly and accommodating with our requests for our large group. The chanko nabe with pork with the spicy garlic pirikara broth was tasty and just the right amount of food.“

“First time trying this place out, heard lots of reviews about this place. It can be a little pricy but for sure good quality meat and seafood. We did not have to wait long, we came at a good time where there were lots of open tables which was about 5:30pm on a Sunday. They offer different packages or sets you can choose from, but we got the Diamond package: $98/person, it also comes with some side dishes, soft drinks, they even have milk tea, hot tea, & ice cream for dessert!
My favorites were: Japanese A5 Wagyu Ribeye, Japanese A5 Wagyu brisket, Japanese A5 Wagyu Shoulder cut and Seafood Platters. The meat options were great, and so was the seafood. I also enjoyed the Bone Marrow with toast & deep fried buns (mantou) with condensed milk.
They also offer outside seating, it looks so cute and cozy with nice decor. The employees are extremely friendly, efficient, and so such a great job at explaining the difference between the packages they offer as it can be confusing for newcomers. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.“

“I've never had shabushabu before and it was amazing! So many choices of everything! It's buffet and ridiculously delicious. So much food and so healthy too. Good idea to go for lunch because it's cheaper than dinner. And they were so kind to let me and my friend sit as long as we wanted. The service was wonder. I will definitely be back!“

“The food was absolutely delicious! I love everything and how it was in such a good price for hot pot. The service was quick and got seated in minutes. The server was sweet and checked on us to make sure how everything is. I saw how quick our food came out. The food was hot and fresh and the chicken was crispy. The soup was very flavorful. “Have been coming here for the past 3 years. And have had wonderful meals everytime.
So when it was time for my Grandmother's 93rd birthday. We booked the private room for 21 people.
Service was just the best we have ever had.
Our server was polite and communicated so well to accommodate our large party.
Food was excellent and came out fast.
Ordered multiple set menu items and ala carte dishes. And some party members were vegetarian and they were able to accommodate their dietary needs.
Over all expectations were exceeded.

“Great experience here at Sizzle Yakiniku restaurant! We ordered assorted meats for 2, pork belly, vegetable platter and rice. Service was very attentive and we got Oolong Hi drinks…we rarely find here in Hawaii, but loved when we lived in Japan many years! There sauces accompanied the meats we grilled at our table and we look forward to coming back very soon! Highly recommend!“
