“My daughter and I found this place in 2017 while driving around. Couldn’t stop thinking about it. The location changed but she found Chewy. As far as I’m concerned it’s the best food on the island. Try the chicken…you will want more!”

“I love this place so much. Everything I have eaten here is so good. The Omlet is my very favorite followed closely by the breakfast sandwich and the crabby salad and tomato soup. All the drinks and treats are so yummy. Super nice service.”

“A must-stop, the banana bread is SO good! Super dense and moist. Take a gander and watch the waves across the street while you eat your bread, lol. The line was long-ish (this is a popular tourist spot), but it moved very quickly. We also got their fruit smoothie and it was very fresh and good!

Dietary restrictions: Not a lot of gluten free options. My fiancé with celiac got the fruit smoothie. Missed out on the banana bread, poor guy!

Parking: Parking scattered throughout the street. This is a super busy tourist spot as well as a residential area.”

“Breakfast at The Restaurant at The Hana Maui Resort is fantastic. The food is delicious, service excellent and setting is amazing. Expect typical resort prices, but well worth the money.

Currently they only serve breakfast because unfortunately there’s not enough customers to support lunch or dinner. However, the Hana Ranch restaurant, also owned by the resort, makes up for that.

If you get a chance to eat here, and don’t mind splurging a little bit, definitely make the effort.”

“Stumbled upon this place on the road to Hana. It smelled awesome so we had to stop. The mixed BBQ plate was awesome. It had pork, chicken, rice and a fern salad. It was all so delicious. The guy working the grill was super friendly and cool. The seating is in old tram cars. The "plates" are big chunks of bamboo. The utensils are hand cut bamboo chopsticks. I can't say enough about how incredible this place was. It is a must stop on your road to Hana.”

We have flights and accommodations reserved for a mid-June visit, and our rental house is just a short walk up Kokomo. “I’m so glad that we made a lunch reservation at Mama’s Fish House. The gardens and views are gorgeous, the valet was friendly and helpful, our waiter was informative, helpful and patient. Our whole family agreed this was the best meal we ate in Hawaii. I love seafood and eat it often, but this was the most delicious dish I’ve ever had. I had the Hawaiian Kanpachi with Crab & Lobster in a Macadamia Nut Crust and my husband had the Mahi Mahi and Ahi Curry. We were dinning with two children 12 & 9, the restaurant offered a few children’s options (baked Mahi, breaded Mahi and pulled pork- as they explained it there is a daily children’s menu provided and given by your server). Our picky, non-fisher eat enjoyed a lunch of virgin lava flow, vanilla ice cream and strawberry off the dessert menu and fresh baked bread. Our whole experience was fantastic and I’d highly recommend going.”

Fast and friendly service. Ordered the following: - Hawaiian Tropic smoothie: delicious and flavorful! - The Chipa Waffle: really unique and tasty dish; surprisingly filling despite somewhat small portion; really yummy creamy cashew cream - Veggie Focaccia Sandwich: quite possibly the best vegan panini I’ve had (tasted similar to a vegan version of a caprese sandwich); same delicious cashew cream; very substantial in terms of portion size Wish I discovered this vegan truck earlier in my trip because I would have definitely come back!”
