“I had the Furikake Miso Salmon Katsu and it was delicious! My first time in Hawaii, my first time at Zippys; I wanted to be with the locals and eat what they eat, and I was told that this is the spot. I saw many items on the menu that I never heard of before, and found the two things that I really like, Katsu and Salmon. The Salmon was fresh and I know fresh fish when I bite into it. I eat salmon about every other week. Ive tried frozen salmon and Ive tried fresh salmon, and there's a huge difference between the two. I only like to eat fresh fish, and I know for a fact that my plate of Furikake Katsu was fresh. The staff and service was amazing and friendly. My entire family enjoyed the food and ambience, even my brother in law who is very picky enjoyed his food.“
“I’m hesitant to share the best deal on the menu - The Ohana Pac. It fed the four of us for almost two meals (I made rice at home and heated up one Zippys chili pack from Sams Club for the second day). Ohana Pac comes with chili (I got no beans which may be why the level is low in the container), noodles and Korean chicken. This costs $35! They’ll probably realize it’s too good of a deal and raise the price. The ube Naples were good too. I haven’t always gotten the best service at this zippys but it was fine in this day.“
“Not bad! Really surprised that they had simple spam musubi to a gourmet beet salad that was reasonably priced for the amount. I would eat that refreshing beet salad again! Also, the bar right next to it is typical $8 per beer to $12-16 mixed drinks for those that need the cool down after the long trek back.Shared a beef burger with zuchinni. Didnʻt expect the zuchinni to be deep fried battered zuchinni. Thought would be grilled so that was disappointing and the patty was salty. Washed it down with beer which made it delish. Ahi fish burger is tasty! Chicken plate- meh.Loved the kope cafe on right.“
