We stopped here for breakfast, as we were on our way to visit Salt Pond Beach. We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious these pastries are. I had the macadamia nut cinnamon roll, but unfortunately had to share it with my son. My husband enjoyed the mango danish and he is not someone who usually cares for pastry. I only wish I would have bought more to snack on later.
Our lunch was very good at the Midnight Bear Bakery. The avocado sandwich was delicious and the turkey sandwich on sourdough bread was yummy. Why only a 4 rating? Would have loved purchasing the pastries that people raved over. I guess the other reviewers ate them all as nothing was left to buy!
One of the best bakeries I’ve tried and a must-try if you’re on Kauai. This unassuming and charming bakery in Hanapepe, Kauai holds its own with the best of them in New York and San Francisco. Had the pleasure of meeting the founder and head baker, Evan, who puts a Hawaiian twist on well done classics like macadamia cinnamon rolls and Hawaiian papaya danish. We also tried the pain au chocolat, an everything danish, and perfectly fluffy focaccia, some of the best I’ve had....
