Starbucks in Hilo

“Truly a lovely location. Everyone is so sweet every single time I come in. The service is lovely, and even though they were training new hires, the quality of my drink and the service did not waver. Lein is always so sweet, as are all the rest of the staff. Sadly, I didn't look close enough at their name tags to remember and write them here.“

“I only drink light roast coffee. I was excited to find this Starbucks in Safeway along the main road. The gal working was delightful.
I was surprised my Starbucks app payment would not work and the system would not allow me to tip.
The Barista was so delightful I made a purchase in Safeway so that I could get funds to tip her!

“This was my first time ordering a secret menu item. It turned out so amazing and John my barista their energy made it all the better. They were hyping up my option and it really made me smile. The drink couldn't have been better. I got a vanilla créme frappe with three pumps caramel and three toffee nut, topped with caramel. Definitely recommend! ✨💚“

“Very friendly, clean, inviting and large Starbucks in downtown Hilo, Hawaii. Appears to have once been a Wendy's based on size and design of building. Very spacious with plenty of seating all around. The staff welcomed each person entering and were very friendly when it came to refills.

I have to say that it was pouring down rain on 2 different occasions during my visit, which is just part of the deal when it comes to being in Hilo. This location has a drive through, and plenty of outdoor parking, clean restroom and plenty of merchandise to choose from. Plenty of staff to help as well.

It was a shame I had to leave this Starbucks as it was one of my favorites on the Hawaiian Islands.“
