“Probably the best Korean food we’ve ever had. (I’ve lived on Oahu, in LA, and Seattle). We had the Fish Jun, and sides of Kimchee, Potato, greens, seaweed, and Mac salad. It’s a to-go place that focuses all of its attention on making the food delicious.“

“The best Korean food you can enjoy!
I am in my 8th month of pregnancy. Korean food has helped me a lot during my pregnancy when I was suffering from morning sickness and other health problems. I first came to this restaurant with a friend for a relaxing meal of delicious Korean food before giving birth.
I wish I had known about this place earlier!
I ordered the Seafood Soft Tofu Stew and also ordered the Beef Bulgogi for takeout. I am a big soft tofu stew (sundubu) lover! The seafood sundubu here was so good! Even my baby belly was moving with great excitement!
The banchan were all delicious with just the right amount of salt!
Now I'm coming back for the BBQ!“

“Pretty good Korean food, good kalbi and other bbq items, Also many of the plates comes with multiple choices of vegetables and the vegetables are quiet decent too so it feels somewhat healthy which is a plus and the taste has remained pretty consistent. Prices have gone up quite a bit since Covid though.“

“Fantastic #4 BBQ chicken. Lots of food for a good price in Hawaii. This isn't a great sit down place but I was planning to take food to go. I loved they didn't take 30 seconds to get my food. They cooked the chicken fresh on the spot. I waited about 15 minutes which is how long chicken should take to cook. Great spot.“

“The place was clean and inviting. One of the few places were the pictures on the menu actually look like the food that is served. The food was delicious and authentic not like then one in the mainland that changes items to accommodate the locals, from the tofu to the meats they where all delicious.“

“This is my GO TO Korean BBQ spot on Oahu. This back alley, cinder block laden restaurant is a no frills spot that serves up some of the best meat selections. Ambiance is rustic, in a Hawaiian sense, and very casual. It can get smoky inside if the place is packed so be prepared to smell like meat and BBQ when you leave. We ordered the Jumolook and pork belly and both were great quality. I love that they provide the sesame oil dipping sauce without mention. All of the sides were very good too and of generous portions.Service is authentic and quick! Don’t expect much unless you’re proficient in Korean, but they’re a lovely staff.“

“Nimitz Korean Bbq is a very mom and pop Korean Restaurant. It might not have the best service, but it does have great and authentic Korean food! I am Korean-American, so I encourage you to please enter with a gracious mind as I believe the husband takes orders and the wife cooks in the kitchen. The man up front is nice, but I can tell that when he speaks English it can sound like he is being rude/harsh, but that is not his intention. It’s simply language barrier! When we started speaking Korean, his demeanor was more comforting! The food is large portions and can be on the pricier side, but the amount definitely makes up for it!
I noticed a different review saying the prices listed are in Korean, it is not! It’s simply stating their menu items in Korean. Left side English and right side Korean!“
