This is my new favorite restaurant downtown! Ate here three times this week and each new dish was the best that I've eaten in years. Today I tried the chef's special pork chop and it indeed was special! I would say this place is serving up Senia/Merriman level cuisine, but at plate lunch prices. Best food and value hands-down! I had the roast chicken with a slice of their amazing focaccia bread and shared a clam chowder with my friend who ordered the puttanesca. The roast chicken was excellent. Perfectly cooked, tender, juicy and very flavorful. I was quite surprised with the portion which was two halves. I was expecting only a half chicken so now I have dinner! Bonus!!! The Food was EXCELLENT except for the gumbo which Ho-hum. The lady/hostess was truly amazing!! The highlight of our of lunch! The chef was wearing an inappropriate sleeveless tshirt and sat in the restaurant eating his lunch. While the food is really good. The restaurant is less than a desirable place eat. Unfortunately we saw a bug at a table which was why they moved us to another table.
