Visited with my sibling for lunch a few months ago and forgot to review! We ordered the California maki and Red Dragon maki to share and they were delightful. They were generous with the fillings, definitely worth the money. Definitely a good spot to grab something for lunch or dinner. Short wait time, but there was only one other customer at the time so I'm not sure what its like during meal rush. I think the quality of the food is worth a wait though. A hidden gem! Excellent, high-quality sushi that’s carefully made to order. I got the deluxe nigiri bento and dynamite maki and every piece was delicious!
Some people may complain about the wait time. But the food is worth it! Much effort to detail and the sushi is #1!!! This restaurant is famous in Makiki and the dishes speak for themselves...

SushiMan is a small, clean, and sunny restaurant located behind Panda's along the marina. Although it can be slow and understaffed at times, the food is always fresh and tasty. The menu offers a variety of options, including bentos and udon, with a standout udon broth. The service is friendly, fast, and accurate, despite being busy. Many customers appreciate the prompt and courteous service, especially for takeout orders that are ready within 15-20 minutes. The restaurant has a large menu with many healthy and not-so-healthy choices, allowing customers to fulfill any fishy craving. The deluxe nigiri bento is highly recommended, featuring very fresh seafood and high-quality rice, all presented with pride. Parking is available at Hawaii Kai Towne center, with plenty of spaces. Note that it's take-out only, with outdoor seating available throughout the shopping center. The restaurant is known for its great value, with dishes like the crunch don, a well-balanced bowl of spicy ahi bits with shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura bits, which many consider a hidden gem on the island.
