Amazing food, amazing service!

I was in Hawaii for vacation and I was going to the rainbow falls, when in little town i saw the beautiful cafe, i mainly stop just to see inside and i was greeted with warm welcome, what made me feel belong to island. I looked arround and I saw i beautiful earrings and I bought them… when I was living I saw other interesting things and I ended up forgetting my earrings somewhere, I contacted them and Steph immediately responded and sent me my earrings without charging the mailing cost, that means a lot for me, because as business I know every little thing add in costs. I wanted to share this because I value business and people like Steph. I have been wearing the earrings every day since I got them. God blessings to you my dear!

Very disappointing latte, good egg sandwich - I ordered a lavender latte (I least I think - I asked the barista working if the “Don’t tell her to calm down” was a lavender latte - she said yes). I ordered it hot, she handed me some disgusting watered down overly sweet concoction with no foam and seemingly no espresso whatsoever. Also tasted nothing like lavender. The egg sandwich on sourdough was really good though. I won’t be going there for coffee again - much better options in Hilo.

This was the best latte I had on the whole island! I explained to the barista the coffee I had ordered coffee somewhere else that morning & it was way too sweet, she went out of her way to make sure when my drink came out that I liked it before I left so if I needed any adjustments, she could help me out with that. My wife got the Hawaiian Matcha and absolutely loved it. The house made macadamia nut mylk was amazing, added wonderful texture to my drink.
The space is uniquely curated very cute with lots of fun knickknacks. Honestly, this was a spur of the moment, we have to do this next hike but we are tired, stop on the way to Akaka Falls and we are 100% satisfied with that decision

Excellent tropical iced tea. Just enough out-of-sun seating. Makai iced tea with gorgeous flower. The balsamic tuna salad wrap is to die for - nice touch of grilling the overlap!

For me, The Hive was an incredible find! I stumbled in on a Sunday morning, looking for a latte. I was really excited because the flavors on the menu seemed quite exotic. The owner definitely isn't afraid to think outside the box (or should I say, outside the cup?) I went with the Habibi latte, which was flavored with cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg and vanilla. It was exquisite, paired with a big, fresh, flakey croissant.

As I was waiting, I looked around the cafe and noticed a plethora of healthy snacks for sale (grain free, organic, etc.) I expressed my delight to the barista and she informed me that the owner is passionate about serving fresh, locally sourced produce. She added that much of it is grown right in their own garden which is outside the back door! I was so impressed with the Hive's commitment to fresh, healthy and delicious options that I can't recommend it enough!

very amazing smoothies! Would highly recommend the stop if you’re driving near by! Just know there are only 2 workers there so somtimes there can be a wait.

We stopped by here before zip lining. The service, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches were excellent. The sougherdough Sando w/ bacon is next level. We will definitely stop by next time we’re in town.
