“There was a short line as expected, but warm malasadas are tasty (if you're off the diet for this week!) They did mess up our order which was disappointing (what? No coconut filling!) but we weren't going to hang around to straighten it out.“

“I bought donuts that are really great! The best I’ve had ! All so fresh and delicious- You get to watch your donut being made- I would go back every day- My boyfriend said this- put the donut in your mouth, sip Kai coffee- then swish it around and swallow— enjoy for 15 seconds- then enjoy all the sugar and flavors around your teeth-then enjoy the flavors between your teeth-enjoy for 45 seconds- then think about going back for another!!! The service is impeccable! I’ll be back!“

“A lil overdue on the review, but yessss, their 🍩. Hands down DA BES 🍩! Very fluffy, not too heavy or greasy✌🏽
The flavors are very creative, fillings/creams/toppings - all natural, esp fruits: no preservatives or artificial, you'd taste real fruits in them! All sooo yummy & ono-licious!😋 I'd need to watch out my carbs/sugar but lols, oh well, I always save some space for their 🍩🤙🏽
Wanted to keep this place "a hidden secret 🍩 spot" in Kaimuki, but that's a matter of time, I guess...😂 Their current location is just behind Mud Hen Water on Waialae, the store is on the 9th in a shared facility(not quite an actual "storefront", cannot wait 'til they find an actual store!). The sign is out on the NE corner of Waiale/9th sidewalk when they're open.
Always a long line before opening, often sell out fast, and parking is almost always challenging but all in all, absolutely worths the headache.
Oh and did I say their 🍩 are vegan/plantbased?“

“When I received it last year, I was so impressed by how delicious it was that I ordered a second helping, so this time too.
Despite being vegan, it was one of my favorite donuts I've ever eaten. It is made from taro-based dough and fried in coconut oil.
There used to be a kitchen car in Waikiki, but now there seems to be only one store, and it's located in the same building as Wail Foods Market in Ala Moana.“

“Good bakery. The service was fine. Not much conversation with the workers there to know. But the place is small and they work fast and efficiently so that was nice. Got apple Danish, chocolate muffin and butter rolls, and chocolate cream doughnut. Really tasty, totally will be back for more.“

“I bought Obanyaki today at Times Supermarket in Aiea. Some of the Obanyaki looked like it wasn’t baked long enough. Especially the vanilla custard. Please toasted more darker.“

“While wandering Chinatown, my family and I happened to pass this place. Clean, well-lit, delicious pastries and kind person behind the counter.
We ate sesame-seed ball donut filled with coconut and black sugar. Hubby had an apple-filled donut. Very good!
Thanks, Lee's for a sweet treat in the middle of our afternoon wandering.“
“It’s great to be back at Zippy’s again after being away from Hawaii for so long. This restaurant is clean, well-maintained and staffed with friendly servers. The hot saimin was wonderful, a reminder of those carefree days long ago. My companions loved their Korean chicken chili, zip pac deluxe and beef stew. After dining out at fancy eateries everyday during this visit, it’s refreshing to return to simple, unpretentious comfort food.“

“This is the Dunkin donuts IN the airport. The coffee is better and fresher than Starbucks. Go there and visit with Virginia she is the sweetest old lady that always has kind words. It's usually not too busy but if there are a lot of flights be prepared to wait in line.“

“The Leonard’s Bakery mobile truck is the perfect way to enjoy their famous malasadas without braving the crowds at the main shop. The malasadas are just as fresh, warm, and fluffy, with perfectly sweet fillings like custard, haupia, or guava. The truck is quick, convenient, and delivers the same iconic flavors—ideal for satisfying your craving without the wait!“
