“Delicious food, generous portions, good service. You really should visit if you're hungry in Kaneohe.
You get rice, a protein, and four choices of ban chan (veggie sides like kimchee or cooked bean sprouts).

The ambiance is definitely "greasy spoon", but the food is really good quality, and, since its take out only, you're only there for a few minutes, the dated decor is not really an issue.“

“Refreshing small picked dishes and tasty spicy beef tartare cold noodle. The cold soup broth that came the noodle was exceptional cooling down the body on a hot and humid afternoon. The oxtail soup was also smooth and nourishing. Dishes were well balanced of texture and flavors. Staff was helpful bringing extra bowls to share.“

“Fantastic #4 BBQ chicken. Lots of food for a good price in Hawaii. This isn't a great sit down place but I was planning to take food to go. I loved they didn't take 30 seconds to get my food. They cooked the chicken fresh on the spot. I waited about 15 minutes which is how long chicken should take to cook. Great spot.“

“This is hands down my favorite restaurant on island. Laid back, low key with epic views of sunset outside. Make all my friends come out here when they were in town for my wedding. The kalbi is the star of the show. The best marinade. Made one friend cry it was so good. Meat jun also fire.“

“Yooncy is our family go-to Korean dinner place! The man is a hard worker and was sad when his wife passed away in recent years. She was the sweetest lady. You can still see sadness in his eyes but trying his best to keep up the family business. Anyway, we go there because we love the food! Our favorites are: Yooncy Special w BBQ chicken, kalbi and BBQ beef plus meat jun. Plus all the Korean veggies and kimchi!!“

“First time eating there. It went well. Lots of things to choose from. Now that I have experienced Sorabol I will know more about what to expect.

2025: I have been told that the restaurant will close end of February for renovations. I was also told that the owner may choose to retire due to the projected time for renovations to be completed. A nice restaurant. Hope it reopens.“

“This is my GO TO Korean BBQ spot on Oahu.This back alley, cinder block laden restaurant is a no frills spot that serves up some of the best meat selections. Ambiance is rustic, in a Hawaiian sense, and very casual. It can get smoky inside if the place is packed so be prepared to smell like meat and BBQ when you leave.We ordered the Jumolook and pork belly and both were great quality. I love that they provide the sesame oil dipping sauce without mention. All of the sides were very good too and of generous portions.Service is authentic and quick! Don’t expect much unless you’re proficient in Korean, but they’re a lovely staff.“

Looking at the outside and walking in to this small hole in the wall, you start to second guess yourself but then you order your food, which the cost is crazy reasonable, and you eat the food…5 stars! “1/7/2022 My super sweet pal sent us two Mandoo Kook Soo bowls for dinner. She texted me that she did so at 5:33pm and when I looked at the link, it said the order would be delivered in about an hour. The food was delivered by UberEATS at 6:08! We saw on our camera that the delivery man put the package on the mat, stepped away, used his phone, and then left, so it was completely contactless. The Mandoo Kook Soo was delicious! The broth was tasty and not oily and there were a lot of pieces of meat that were thick but tender. Lots of green onions and egg too! And the Mandoo and noodles were the perfect consistency & not mushy. This Mandoo Kook Soo was a real treat! The pic I took of the food looks even better than the photo that they had on UberEATS. I'll have to try this place the next time I go to PearlRidge.“

“Good plate lunch place.$16 for a regular and $13 for a mini.Recently, plate lunch restaurants are getting less and less, but this place is full of volume. And very delicious. You can choose 4 vegetables, but all of these vegetables are delicious.It may be the most delicious among Korean plate lunches.“
