“The restaurant offers a wide variety of options, seafood, sandwiches, salads, bugers, etc, but the portions were a bit small compared to other places I’ve been, and not very different price-wise.I did enjoy the view and the closeness to the beach - this was the main reason I chose Lava’sVegetarian options: Not a lot of vegetarian options. “Absolutely delicious!! We had the fish n chips and poke nachos, both of which we knew were good from yelp but did not find on menu. So very good. Ordered a virgin spicy Bloody Mary that was nothing more than tomato juice with a bit of worchestire in it. Would not recommend that drink but fish n chips all day everyday so good!!“
“I only tried the fries, but they were good. The staff at the grill/pool area were super friendly. My only big disappointment was paying for two upgraded margaritas and two virgin lava flows that turned out to be about $111. I feel that the bartender on staff for that day totally upcharged us, Each margarita was $35 plus 18% gratuity already included, Served in an 8 ounce plastic cup by no means worth $35!!! To put it in perspective. We had a whole 4 meals 4 drinks and 2 added salad bars, That included lava flow and alcoholic drink, lobster tail, macadamia crust fish, ribs&chicken, chicken tenders meal and calamari appetizer etc. for $230 at Dukes. The comparison was nothing compared to $110 tab for four drinks at the driftwood bar and grill!!! I wish I had kept both receipts to show the atrocity of the drinks cost lol.“
“It's such a great place. I read in other reviews that this place was a hidden gem & it REALLY is. Prices are avg & the food is 5⭐️. Burgers & tuna were so good & the fries, yum.. The drinks weren't watered down either. Perfect beachy feel without being on the water. I absolutely recommend this place.It is rather small, so I imagine during peak days this place could fill up quickly & I don't know if they do reservations but it's well worth calling to ask if you find yourself here during the summer. It's spring break now & it wasn't busy but was very steady. We got the only available table when we arrived at 6p. They have specialty dining for St Patrick's Day today & I really hope we make it back there again before we leave.“
