“First timr trying Catania Ristorante Italiano at Waimalu Shopping Center. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. Parking is also a challenge during the busy times. Chinese owners serving Italian food. The food is good, but not memorable good. Pasta is cooked well and their garlic cheese bread is very good. Spaghetti sauce too runny, but the Seafood Linguine is delicious. Prices are affordable, considering the portion size is generous and they don't skimp on the protein. Another plus, it's BYOB, so you can save some e $$$ on your bill.

“The best Italian food you will find on the entire island— just go. My family and I have been coming here for nearly a decade. Their service NEVER disappoints— they are a family owned business and they are seriously the kindest, most friendly people ever. Everything from the freshly made complimentary bread and butter, to their delicious house salad, to the many main dishes and pastas they have— are all nothing short of spectacular. I would eat here every single day if I could!
I don’t like Alfredo pasta but this is the only place I’ll consider eating Alfredo pasta of any kind. It’s just THAT good! You won’t regret coming here, the best Italian food in all of Hawai’i, without a doubt. Couldn’t rave about this place enough.“

The Bread is unbelievable I have to stop after the second basket due to the food I ordered. I tried the New York steak medium rare and the Shrimp Scampi. “Great place, better than most in Waikiki. Well worth trying out. The food was excellent and service was the best we have seen in a long time on island. Wife had the Chefs Special of Veal and Shrimp in caper wine sauce, I had Veal With marsala and mushroom sauce. Both delicious and well prepared. I highly recommend Paisanos!

The one downside is for the older hostess, she first tried to seat us in the back facing the toilets. That's always going to be a no go. The place was nowhere near full so ...in most restaurants; if the place isn't full, those are the last seats to fill, that almost set the tone for this review. Because usually first impressions are everything. Otherwise we had the best table service we've had on island in over 20 years. Bonus, the food was great too.“

“My husband and I Read about this place through the support 808 page and saw they offered porkroll and scrapple. For a born and raised South Jersey girl, finding those on this island is heaven! We ordered a couple of Hoagies for lunch and porkroll and scrapple and pickles too! Definitely a place we will be often! Reminds me of a good stop to take hoagies to go when going down the shore! Thank you for the bottom on my heart for sharing a taste of home! The Hoagies were exactly right for East Coast sub shop! I almost went back to get pizza for dinner too!“

(Its a shared spot) We tried the strawberry matcha, ube matcha, spaghetti & chicken parm sandwich, excellent service kind people & really cool spot to just relax. Dj played some 90s disco music. So many shops all within one little area. Definitely my new go to place!“
