“Great place! Line was out the door. Poke is served both on rice or on fresh salad. The varieties are delicious and all the options are fresh! The staff was extra careful to help with our order and the portions were just right! We loved it!“

“We almost thought we were in the wrong spot. Very unassuming from the outside, but an ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM. Chelsea is one of a kind. The food, drinks, service, everything was beyond perfect. We have never had an experience even close. I hope those reading this feel the authenticity of these words. We love you Chelsea!
Almost forgot, we tried the fried beef gyoza, chicken and waffles, orange chicken and a variety of incredible drinks. Even our picky kids agreed. Thanks again for one of the most memorable experiences of our lives!“

“A Must-Visit Poke Spot
I’d been looking forward to visiting this place for three days, and it was worth the wait. If you're exploring this part of the island, this spot is a must-visit. Just remember to plan your day around it, as they're only open from 11 am to 4 pm. You might want to skip breakfast so you can really enjoy your meal!
Easy to Find, Easy to Park
The restaurant is about a 16-minute drive from downtown Honolulu. While it's a bit tucked away, finding a parking spot is a breeze—they have a large parking lot, which is a big plus. The moment you walk in, you'll notice how incredibly clean it is. This instantly gives you peace of mind, especially since you’ll be enjoying fresh, raw ingredients.
Friendly and Helpful Service
The staff was great, and the cashier was very kind and patient with my questions. She was so dedicated to helping me that she asked her team for more details about the ingredients to make sure her answers were perfect.
The Food: Unforgettable Poke
I ordered a poke bowl for $16, which lets you choose two different types of poke. I went with the spicy ahi tuna with masago and the traditional Hawaiian poke. I also added some delicious toppings like seaweed salad, dried cod (Taegu), and pickled ginger for just $1 each—a deal that’s definitely worth it.
The portion size is huge, weighing over a pound, and the presentation was beautiful. The flavors were incredible—complex and layered. The seaweed brought a taste of the sea, the pickled ginger added a tangy kick, and the spicy tuna was perfect. The Taegu, a local dish with Korean roots, gave the bowl a savory, chewy texture that made it even better.
For a drink, I chose a local Hawaiian Sun juice. It’s a great option with natural flavors, but if you want to balance out the richness of the poke, a simple water works best.
The poke bowl here is one of the most flavorful and satisfying I've had on Oahu.
A Treat to End the Meal
I also tried the shave ice with mochi, vanilla ice cream, and condensed milk. While I found it a bit too sweet for my taste (which is pretty common for local desserts), the coconut banana flavor was amazing. The small size is big enough for two people, so consider sharing it. Even if you're not a shave ice expert, this is a great place to try it.
I spent $19 poke with add ons +1.5 drink + 11 shave ice with-add ons
Unfortunately if you need to use the restroom that do not have one so make sure that you are not in a hurry and not need one .“

“Today was my first time ordering online and eating the chicken katsu plate. The ordering online experience was super easy and when I went in to pick up my order it was ready and the people at the counter were very pleasant and very helpful. The katsu here was one of the best ive ever had.“

“We went here for some good poke and it was mostly great. My husband got the spicy ahi and salmon shoyu which were both delightful! I ordered the California ahi and was surprised to find giants chunks of imitation crab meat in it. I do not care for this at all so I picked it all out. I wish there had been descriptions under the options. I did ask about the spice level but I assumed that the different names were related to the sauce. Next time I will ask more questions.“
“So although its been awhile, I’ve eaten takeout from here many times before and I always get the same thing all the time, the #14 Teriyaki Beef Bowl with Black Rice. You have your choice of rice ? including white but i can get white rice anywhere. I can’t get black. Good tasting and healthy. Comes with small cup of clear broth. $14.99 isn’t cheap by any means hence the 4 stars but it is unique and different from my usual, plus rising costs of ingredients, mall rent and just plain running a business in Hawaii, $14.99 is almost average. Its clean, employees are friendly and I’m satisfied so it works out fine. Will be back.“

“This is one of those restaurants you don’t want anybody else to find out about why because the food is so damn good and you don’t like waiting in lines to get it even though you would and you never wait in line that’s how damn good this food is luckily their kitchen is very fast at cooking The phenomenal food that they’re always cranking out. I always get to ribs“
“How anyone could give Nico’s Hickam any less than a 5 stars blows my mind. The quality of Nico’s fish is the best on Oahu! And the merch store inside is awesome! Don’t hesitate to come here - I don’t know what the other reviewers here are talking about - the workers were friendly and helpful!
And for the guy that said goto the commissary to get a bowl - I bet you eat the frozen poke too! Gross! Never go to the commissary when Nico’s is right next door!
Try it, you won’t regret it!“

“Ordered the roasted pork with their popular wasabi masago poke, and it was delicious. The pork was crispy and flavorful, good even without the dipping sauce. The wasabi ahi was firm, fresh, and balanced, with the wasabi enhancing without overpowering. This spot is now on my list for takeout when I am in the area. Staff were friendly and easy to chat with, and I appreciate businesses like this.“

“I went to several great poke places during my trip to Hawaii, and this one was by far the best. The salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. They say they don't use frozen fish, so the tuna sashimi was so fresh and the seasoning was perfect, making it the best. Even my 11-year-old son enjoyed it very much!
The owner, Tommy, was very pleasant and friendly.
I was so sad that I visited on the last day. I definitely recommend it.“
“I got a surprisingly delicious meal from Twisted Grub. I ordered the seafood plate with rice, bean, and plantain. The shrimp was jumbo, fresh, and flavorful. Rice and bean was really well seasoned. Oh and the salmon was so tasty. 5+ stars, welldone! We’ll definitely order again. Keep up the good work!“
“I went there on Wednesday about 115p. There's lots of free parking. I like the male cashier employees because they're more friendly. This time I got the crispy noodle with chicken. But I've also ordered garlic shrimp, salt and pepper shrimp, chicken wings. These are the plate lunches I like the most. I would continue to eat here if I'm in the area“

“This is a charming location in converted old gas station. We each had a 24 oz smoothie (coconut, mango, and a couple of mixed combinations) to start while waiting for our food outside on a picnic bench. The food was one of the best we’ve had on the islands: Kahlua pork, Kalbi ribs, Teriyaki chicken, Furikake Ahi, squid luau, fresh caught fish, fish tacos, macaroni salad, tossed salad and coconut cake with pineapple for dessert. Highly recommended!“

“They were temporarily closed, but now they’re back with new ownership and an exciting reopening! The menu is easier to navigate, with tons of new original drinks and even more yakiniku options. Definitely worth checking out for the fresh updates!“

“This place is solid, but we had a group of 4 adults and 3 youths and it must have thrown them off a bit. We chose the AYCE option and we were served double of some of the items we ordered. I personally judge Sushi Restaurants by the quality of their unagi. This place has good unagi. The clientele is all locals and we love finding places like that when we travel. This is a good option.“
