“This Berger King has a very good location just outside Pahoa. The location is a locally owned franchise, not a corporate owned location. Normally I frequent locally owned non franchised business however, I was hungry, location was an absolute priority, consistent quality was needed along with fast service. This location delivered 100% on all of my expectations. For me, and granted ratings were based on my specific expectation, this location delivered,“

“This McDonald's isn't as busy as the Keaau location. The staff are friendly and polite. My orders are usually made accurately. I would definitely recommend this McDonald's.
Dietary restrictions: If you have a restricted diet, you may request for "no salt" on the fries or burgers.
Parking: There's a small parking area around the restaurant. However, if that area is filled there is other parking stalls around the Puna Kai Shopping Center.
Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly dining area.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair accessibility.“

“I’ve had everything on the menu over many years and I highly recommend eating here. I was #62 back at Hilo so naturally the Viking #62 is my favorite burger. Brisket is always on point. Lunch combos are all broke da mouth and cant go wrong with Ulu steak fries. Just tried the Pastele pie today, wish I bought two 10/10🤙🏽“

“What an Experience! Dropped in for a hamburger plate on my way back to Hilo And. The kitchen BoyZ were kicking their Music So loud that two couples got up and left soon after their meals were served. F#@^ F÷@_ B÷& Ni$$$ The Disturbing noise wasn't good enough for Dez Boyz in da Kitchen. They had to crank up the Disgusting music so loud the customers could hardly order out front. I ordered my food to sit down and they gave it to me in a to go bag. Guessing that was a Hint. My soda cup came with a coffee cup lid so I guess I don't need no straw for dat one. No napkins in the bag and none at the counter but when I asked for a napkin, the waitress literalgave me over a dozen napkins. What's the point in all that? The burger patty slipped Off the bun and the lettuce and tomatoes went flying. The fries were OK. The best part of this place is Leaving....like the other customers ate doing. I attribute the problems in this restaurant to the lack of strong positive male models in this area. No self respecting man raises his boys to act like this. The music is offensive to any civil person. And just like that....I watched a customers dog pee on the floor in the dining room!“

“I’ve been craving a good burger and didn’t know where to get one. Decided to just get one here because I figured for the price I couldn’t complain. Got the Deluxe and it was SO good! Sooo much better and less than half the price of the restaurant up in the national park“

“Delicious food, fast service, and friendly folks. We were seated, had drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert in an hour. Not bad for an Easter dinner. We started off with sweet chili, coconut crusted calamari. They were huge and so tender. I had a giant prime rib, cooked to perfection with potatoes and squash. The wife had Cajun spiced mahi mahi with potatoes and mixed vegetables. For dessert, we shared banana spring rolls with vanilla bean ice cream. If you get the chance to stop by Pahoa, HI make dinner reservations and have a wonderful meal at Kaleo's. They have 2 locations.“
