“If you live Upcountry like me, you already know — sometimes you just want a fat, juicy burger that hits just right. Stewz has become one of my go-tos for exactly that. Whether I’m grabbing a bite in Kihei or cruising through the Pukalani food truck scene, it’s the same solid burger every time: flavorful, stacked, and cooked with aloha.
The Kula Burger? Game changer. That chipotle lime aioli and avocado combo is doing way more than it needs to — in a good way. And don’t sleep on the onion rings or sweet potato fries. They’re crispy, golden, and make you feel slightly better about your choices (sweet potato’s basically a health food, yeah?).
Service is friendly, but you’re on island time here, so if there’s a line, just chill. Worth the wait. The Kihei spot has that open-air, breezy vibe perfect after a beach day, and the Pukalani truck is clutch when you’re craving something hearty Upcountry without heading too far down the hill.
Bottom line: Stewz is one of those places you recommend when someone says, “Where can I get a real burger on Maui?” It’s not trying to be fancy — just fresh, ono, and local-style dependable. And that’s more than enough for me.“

“We hit this place to grab a quick, inexpensive bite after a long day of travel. We got great food and great service. The atmosphere is not the most awesome, but the owner and his wife were wonderful. Quick and simple. Had the hamburger steak, and I might try the Korean BBQ next time.“

“My mother was at hale makua and she really wanted some sweet sour Ribs so I went to mike's and got her some sweet sour ribs and egg fuyang. It made my mother really happy, and we had a great and dinner together. Thank you, Mike's Hong Kong bistro. It's for beaten, part of an amazing memory.“

“Its ok as far as mcds goes. I use the app, so Im happy with their service and love trading my app points for free food. Everyone working there is friendly, with acception of a couple orderlys who think they own the place. They arnt a bother unless you ask them to use the restroom, they get a little touchy about that. God forbid u make a mess.
I havnt had any bad experience there though, all in alk, its one of the best locations I have frequented.“

“So me and a buddy pulled up to their Drive in and got milk shakes. Their menu for milkshakes is very tiny in the upper right hand corner we actually had to get out of the car to see it. The service was quick, the milk shake straws are super tiny so get ready to suck lol.“

“Happened to be walking by, saw how busy it was, and loved the chill vibe so I waited for a table and so glad I did. Staff is EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL! Food was outstanding! The breakfast burrito was 10/10! The smash burger is one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long long time. The pancakes were fluffy and full of flavor! Would 110% recommend Cafe Mambo and definitely worth the wait if they don’t have an empty table!“
