“Food is GREAT at this location! Sushi is always on point, hibachi is phenomenal, and the buffet is LOADED! There's always a ton of people though which I'm not super found of.. Service reflects the crowd. Service is a hit or miss. We been there 4 times now and twice had bad service (most just waiting a while for refills and taking away dirty plates) Still highly recommend this place!“

“We often eat there when we're in Ankeny, and did so last Sunday. The fish and chips was, as it always is, outstanding. Our waitress, Jordan, was equally outstanding. She took care of our lunch time needs, often anticipating what we were wanting next. She even sent my wife home with a cup of the pop she was drinking. This place does hold lots of memories for me though. I have been going here since I was little, I'm nearly 50. I still go here off and on when I make it to Des Moines around lunch time.

I always get the fish, chicken, and shrimp platter from LJS and cheese curds from A&W. 🐖🐽🐷 Worth the astronomical calories a couple of times a year. That combo costs me $20. A huge platter of fried goodness for only $20.

Clean space, including the bathrooms. Nice staff.
