“Cosi Cucina is an absolute family favorite. We enjoy the attention to detail that goes along with our dining experience. We love the atmosphere, delicious food, amazing drinks, very attentive wait staff and we always feel like family. Peter and his staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone’s experience is top notch. The menu has everything from appetizers, salads, pastas dishes, protein packed entrees, pizzas, calzones and a fantastic dessert menu! “Oh my gosh!!! Sophie!!! If you see this, please know I've been meaning to write this for over 1 yr now. You're the best server- you're so so sweet, genuine, and you go out of your way to help customers.
The food here is great! Their pre-meal snack is so different than the typical bread and butter..and oh so good; it is cooked corn with these 2 amazing homemade sauces. 🤩 You wouldn't believe these creamy sauces are dairy free, if that matters to you.

I also had a delicious chicken entree a few times. Check this place out at the Farmers Market where their pupusas sell out by 11am lol.

Lastly!- the place was low key and perfect.“

“We often eat there when we're in Ankeny, and did so last Sunday. The fish and chips was, as it always is, outstanding. Our waitress, Jordan, was equally outstanding. She took care of our lunch time needs, often anticipating what we were wanting next. She even sent my wife home with a cup of the pop she was drinking. Simply outstanding and is our favorite restaurant when we're in Des Moines area.“

And I'm from the NW, I know delicious mussels! The ONLY thing keeping me from giving it a 5 STAR review is that the music is too loud, and it's monotonous. “We had the pleasure of attending Splash’s Open House tonight, and wow. what a great experience!

My husband and I have been to Splash for dinner before, but we had never attended one of their open houses, so we honestly didn’t know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised and completely blown away by the hospitality.

Hospitality sometimes feels like a dying art these days, but Splash absolutely gets it right. The service was amazing from start to finish. even down to the two wonderful people serving the wine. The food was incredible, as always, and the entire atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed.

One of my favorite parts was being able to mingle, meet, and have conversations with other people in the community. That kind of atmosphere felt genuinely refreshing.

Overall, Splash knocked it out of the park. We will absolutely be attending future events, and, of course, continuing to dine there throughout the year. Highly recommend!“

“Food is always delicious! I went in after work on Mother’s Day to take home 3 orders of shrimp fajitas and the patio and tables inside were packed. Despite staff being very busy, I still got my order in 15 min and one of the teens working at the register checked on me while I waited to see if I needed anything. I’ve always had excellent service. The margaritas are delicious as well!“

“We have dined here so many times, I've lost count. Our favorites are the Chipotle fettuccine pasta, guacamole, salsa, flautas, the Las Alegres special, quesadillas, and of course, the margaritas 🍹. Small group or large, they can take care of your table without missing a beat. We will be back again and again!“

The waitstaff was attentive but not overbearing, and our waiter in particular was so friendly and recommended the crab stuffed walleye, which was to die for! The best part of the meal was the appetizer- the seared ahi tuna is too good for words, just trust me on this and order it! This was a great place to visit for my birthday dinner, and we definitely plan on being back.“

“We stopped at El Patron on my birthday on a ridiculously hot day and had a good time. The chips and salsa were good, especially after asking for the hot salsa, and the cheese dip was good enough that I probably could have just kept eating that and called it lunch.

Our meals were good with generous portions, but the drinks were definitely the star of this visit. They were hitting! 😂

Service was okay. Everyone was friendly, but they seemed a little distracted and we waited for attention a few times.

The restaurant itself is colorful and fun, and apparently mentioning your birthday gets you the full treatment. I got the song, giant sombrero, and a shot of some very questionable tequila. 😂 It made for a fun birthday memory!

Overall, good Mexican food and a fun atmosphere. I wouldn't make a special trip across town for it, but if we're nearby again, I'd happily stop in for chips, hot salsa, queso and a margarita.“

“We love this place, and the food. We’ve Been here multiple times. But today 7-11-2025, we showed up at 9:10pm and were excused out the door because the front greeter stated to us that they stopped dinning at 9pm. The waitress in-front of him looked like she felt bad and was wanting to sit us down, but the male greeter gave her a grin. The Hours for this place is 11am-10pm. What a way to loose business right at your door! Very disappointed with this !“
