“Family friendly and great Chinese food to stay or to go!Came all the way for Illinois to eat there with my Daughter and my Wife for her Birthday dinner!!!Look at that happy family that just enjoyed Food Lee inside the cozy restaurant! Kid-friendliness: Our 7 year old Daughter was there with the owner/waitstaff young Daughter and another little girl and all the kids were well behaved and enjoyed the fact that they were all able to be kids!“
“This place is generally a delivery set up but they do have a place to sit inside it's clean my favorite thing about Panda garden is the people they're amazing wonderful human beings. Service always excellent and the food is very good.“
“I knew the food was going to be good as soon as the smell hit my nose. My fiance and I went here for lunch and we are frankly knocked out of the park by how well the service was and how delicious the food is. We will 100% be returning soon.“
“I have visited Shanghi several times lately and feel very comfortable giving a review. Upon entering we been greeted and seated promptly. The staff has always been very courteous and friendly. The restaurant is always clean. Drink orders are taken and brought out promptly. As far as the food I have had the mongolian beef which is one of my favorites. The food is always plated nicely and is hot. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant.“
“Very good food, with a good number of choices. From chicken and broccoli to steamed seafood and rice you won't be disappointed. The dining room is small but clean and orderly. Call ahead for carryout seems to be the focus of this business, but the four of us ate and enjoyed for about ten dollars per person. It's worth a try!“
“My wife and I moved out of Davenport years ago, but throughout the years, we always reminisce, "Hey, remember New China? How we'd eat there every other week and how delicious AND inexpensive it was?" We always wish there was a restaurant like this local to us nowadays, but it's a pipe dream. New China is one of a kind.My wife and I recently visited the QC area and stopped by to grab a bite here out of nostalgia. Prices are still super agreeable. Food quality is 110%. The family that opened and worked it are still there (it was crazy seeing the son all grown up!).This restaurant is one in a billion. My wife got her regular order, as did I, and I'm bittersweetly eating my leftovers as I write this. I hope this restaurant sticks around for years to come, and I pray nothing but good things happen to the family who run it. Thank you guys for all the incredible meals over the years! We're sure to order again when we're next in the area.“
“A nice little hidden place for some Chinese food. The food is as good as you would expect, however the portions are very large. ^_^ I ordered the beef with fresh mushrooms, steamed dumplings and a can pepsi. I have more than enough left overs for dinner tonight.Parking: Not many spots to park in the area from what I was able to see but a decent bit of street parking and a few parking spots.“
“I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and it’s pretty much the same Ming wah as ever. People saying it’s different (worse) because of new owners have their nostalgia glasses on. The food portions might be a bit smaller but let’s be honest, old Ming wah was going broke, and them giving away waaay too much food wasn’t helping. Food tastes fine and restraunt is clean. Service wasn’t bad at all.“
“8 of us for lunch today and our food was served, promptly, correctly, and HOT! Everything was fresh and delicious .. Because of Covid, it had been awhile since we enjoyed lunch there and even though there was no buffet, the food was excellent and plenty of it…The best soups, ever, and the wontons were perfect…great service, as always.“
“I was headed out to run errands about noon last Thursday and wanted to grab a bite to eat first , just happened to pass Great Wall and turned around because I wanted to try it out . In all my years living not too far from this restaurant, I had never tried anything from here . I ordered one of my favorite Chinese dishes, Singapore angel hair combo . I just want to say that I'll be coming back to check other dishes on the menu and get back to you to update !“
“The food is always amazing and this location has the best management. The manager Austin at this location is amazing. His customer service skills are top notch and Mongolian grill is lucky to have this man working for them. Austin thank you for your kindness and hospitality.“
“I've tried chinese food several places in Davenport and this spot had the best tasting and hottest freshest food (food wasnt like 3 day old jerky chicken) I love Chinese and if u want ur Chinese food to taste right and not be old and jerkyfied this is where I'd go if I were u.“
“I've come here twice now, and both times have always been consistent. If you don't know what mongolian barbecue is, it's when you get a bowl and put whatever you want in it (noodles, meat, veggies, sauces) and they grill it on a large surface. In a way, it's kind of like hibachi, but not really. There is also an option for an AYCE, but also just a single bowl too. A small one costs around $10.50 and the larger one costs around $11ish (might be wrong). You can also order a side of rice and/or soup which is now extra. In all honesty, I think the bowl itself is enough, but the rice and also help lessen the saltiness. The reason I gave this place a 4 star is because the ingredient bar could be more stocked up. There wasn't a lot of beef, and I was stuck with crumbs, and even though I could've waited I had come with 10 other people and didn't want to hold up the line. Other than that, it's an amazing experience and a nice meal especially for the cold.“
“Yen Ching's was always my favorite chinese restaurant. When I first had their cuisine they were located down by SouthPark and on Brady Street in Davenport. They had the best sizzling rice soup! We would always order Dinner for Two (Mongolian Beef & Garlic Chicken) However, I fell in love w/Yen Ching Beef, so we would have them substitute that dish in place of the Garlic Chicken! The crab ragoons were also way better than anywhere else. But you did have to order their own sweet & sour sauce for like a $2 fee (which was the bright red) as opposed to the sweet & sour they gave you in the packets (which was yellowish orange) and tasted awful. The service was always top notch. And they got to know us & what our usual order was. Special instructions and all! I drink a very specific vodka & order it a certain way. They would see me & already be preparing my drink w/out my having to order it. Which was nice if the person I'm having dinner with doesn't need to know I'm drinking. Just a very classy, and cool thing to do. Special instructions and all. It really made us feel like V.I.P's. Imagine how excited I was when we moved to the Milwaukee area. And as my fiancee's and I were carpooling together for our new jobs (Best Buy for him & Wisconsin Color Press for me) We were heading down Good Hope Road....and we see a Yen Ching chinese restaurant sign on the right hand side of the road. I scream...OMG...pull in here! I run in and speak w/the owner while checking their menu. I ask if they are affiliated with the Yen Ching restaurants in DeKalb, Moline, & Davenport? She replies..."Yes, Moline & Davenport are my older sister's restaurants. DeKalb is my younger sister's...it's a college campus popular hangout. I'm helping her get in to the swing of things while she finishes up the rest of her classes. And yes....the menu & family recipe's are all the same! I was ecstatic! Our weekly visits, to what we considered the best chinese food ever, could continue. We were only in Wisconsin a year, then back to Bettendorf for 2 years, then we moved to the Chicagoland suburbs & settled in Naperville. Very posh, very yuppy and very upscale. One day we're out shopping and driving around getting to know our new area. And to our surprise, about 25 minutes from our subdivision, we spot a Yen Ching's chinese restaurant! We decide to have a late lunch here regardless of whether or not it is "Our Yen Ching's". Of course, after being seated we begin to recognize the ambiance, the menu, even some of the people working there. Yen Ching's was never one of the chinese food places that delivered your order to your house approximately 7 minutes after you ordering it. So, it wasn't the quickest or the easiest to have....but it was so nice to have our comfort chinese food (something we know & love) in all the new places we moved. We had lost so many of our favorite places...Frank's Pizza, Ross' Magic Mountains, Adolph's Tacos, Rudy's Taco's, Happy Joe's BLT/Taco pizza, Brueger's Bagels....they would all be so missed. But hey, we did have our weekly Dinner for Two date nights at Yen Ching's!“
“I've only tried about 5 different menu items here. I've already found a favorite - Shrimp with vegetables. They add a little curry at my request. Very pleasing food, friendly server. Great quality. I try to save half my lunch for later, but I'm not always able to.“
“The delivery is pretty simple and I love it. There have been rarely any issues and if there was, you can call them and they will fix it quick and easy. But, I doubt there will be any issues. This is my first time ordering delivery so it’s been a pleasant experience! Phone calls and ordering when you walk in are great options too.Vegetarian options: You can modify multiple meals to turn them into vegetable dishes. If you would like a veggie only dish, you can request to have tofu instead of meat.Dietary restrictions: They can make it gluten free, remove ingredients, substitute ingredients and more.Parking: It is a public parking space with tons of space even when it is busy.“
“We like a lot to go out. Last night we arrived in this superb place which friends recommended to us. We had a beautiful evening there with exceptional cooking and an efficient crew and an impressive cuisine. We put this fine restaurant in our list and we will certainly visit again soon. Highly recommended.“
“I moved to Rock Island 2 months ago meaning I had to find a new favorite Chinese Restaurant near me. I tried a few nearby and was getting worried because the I found were at most, mediocre. Then one day I stopped here to get some Egg Drop Soup for my sick boyfriend.I love Egg Drop Soup when I am ill so I figured he would too, but luckily for me, that was not his thing so I was able to consume it. It was spectacular.I returned to grab some dinner about a week or so later so I could see if the meals were as good as the soup. This time, I came home with Szechuan Shrimp. That is an old favorite but ever since the old Dragon House in Davenport closed, I had yet to find a place that could compare to their version. Until now! I devoured the meal entirely which is very unusual but I ate every bite as my other half watched in amazement at how food could send his girlfriend into such euphoria. Then, our roommate and I headed up to the place again the other night. We each purchased a meal, soup and some fired wontons. We took it home and another homer with the food.Oriental express has now officially become my go-to for Chinese cuisine. The other places in the neighborhood are not horrible, it is just that they cannot match the food perfection nor are they nearly as friendly as the beautiful girl who has waited on me every time. She is amazing herself.I do not know what the plans are for the dining room here. It is hidden by plastic tarps hanging and that does give the place a very odd "ambiance". I hope that is not a permanent look for them but even if it is, I will still get my Chinese cravings satisfied here. I recommend you do the same!“
“We ordered carry out and we are very impressed with how great everything was! Our order was packaged perfectly and this has been the best sushi we've had since moving near davenport 4 years ago! We will definitely be going back! Thank you!“
