“Visited on 6/10/23 between 1:50pm-2:00pm. This location is inside the Hy-vee (former Walmart anchor spot to the College Square dead Mall). Staff was friendly \\u0026 efficient. Downside is the prices for what you get. Almost $6 for a small specialty iced coffee (12oz).“

“I do feel really bad about this. I was driving to all the coffee shops I knew on university Avenue, and could not find any still open. When i thought all was lost for a late coffee at 8:45pm i saw this one closed at 9. When i got there the lady was just getting ready to close up. I was literally there at 8:53pm. I explained my situation and she was happy to make my coffee for me. I felt even worse when another person got behind me. Thank you so much!“

Mary from Starbucks on University Avenue went above and beyond to make things right! She called last night to apologize for the mix-up and offered to have my coffee ready at the designated time for my meeting today. When I arrived, the staff greeted me with a smile, apologized again, and even gave me my coffee on the house. Great work, Mary – thank you for turning this experience around!

This Starbucks on University Avenue has been a huge disappointment. I called ahead the day before to order two traveler containers, gave them all my information, and thought I was all set. But when I arrived the next morning, the order wasn’t ready at all. Mary, thankfully, stepped up to throw it together quickly, but this was only the beginning of the headache.

The next day, I placed the same order, called again to confirm, and expected it to go smoothly this time. But, incredibly, when I arrived at the agreed time, nothing was prepared. I was told it was “just a few minutes away,” which turned into a 20-minute wait. Reira offered me an extra cup of black coffee as an apology, which slowed things down since I’d already ordered two travelers. Why add one more cup?

It’s honestly baffling how hard it is for this location to handle a simple order, especially with advance notice. If you’re planning to order something in bulk, prepare for disorganization, delays, and unnecessary frustrations.“
