“In town for a business meeting. Met here for dinner - first time here for dinner. What an excellent experience from the moment we walked in the door. First, the interior of the restaurant has an eclectic awesome vibe. Unique and inviting. Tyrell greeted us and seated our party and ultimately Tyrell was also our server. He did an OUTSTANDING job making recommendations from the menu and checked in on us as needed to refresh drinks, etc. The menu offerings are varied and enticing. Our food was excellent. The whole evening was enjoyable with big kudos going to Tyrell and his team. Thank you! We'll be back!”

“We were heading home to NE IA from western Iowa coming through Clear Lake. Googled for restaurants looking for a good pizza joint. They nailed it! My bf & I both loved our individual choices, prices were great, and the main gal behind the counter running the show was a hoot! If we ever come back through, we will definitely stop again!”

“Had a great night singing Karaoke with friends and family. Awesome time with a great crowd. The food was amazing, as usual, service was the best and I love the wi- fi Karaoke and cordless microphones. The ability to sing a much wider variety of songs rocked. The atmosphere was encouraging and inclusive. I give it a 4.8 on a 5 point scale. Ask anyone, I'm not easy to please.”

“First time visiting clear lake. Was told to stop at South Shore Donut. Wow! Nice place, amazing pastries and coffee! We will be back! Definitely a must when visiting!”

“Our food is always good and we enjoy the different choices on the menu, although when prime rib was offered they were almost always out, except one time they just did not have it sliced. I finally did get a serving of it at long last. Have one complaint...the hostess is almost always in the back and people are waiting to pay, sometimes more than one, and there are several waiting to be seated! On our last visit a group of 6 left because they were tired of waiting!! She should be instructed to be out front almost all of the time! However, the wait staff is very friendly. In fact, we have made good friends with one particular waitress, Staci! We usually look forward to eating a Perkin's! One other thing, it is always too cold in there so we must be sure to take a jacket.”

“Quick in and out and the gps takes you to 6th ave but don’t go there go to 24th street and you see the docks on ur right side and there’s a small room go inside press the button they’ll come and help reefer on -10”

“Although the pizza and service were good, I don’t think it’s worth how expensive it is here ($30 for a pizza) which is why I’m giving 4 rather than 5 stars. The pizza can definitely be shared between two people and we enjoyed it but it’s nothing out of this world.”

“This was our first time in Clear Lake. What a treat!! We knew this restaurant was THE spot for us. Lindsey was spectacular as well as the rest of the staff. So friendly and accommodating, great wine and menu suggestions. The escargot was superb! Our steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare is our preference). We took our dessert to go - wow! Off the charts!! This may have been our first visit to Clear Lake, but not our last. The Surfside will be our #1 go to for the most amazing meal and experience.”

“Recently came here for dinner. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was fresh, good and tasted great. Restroom which is used also with other "shopping mall" tenants, was very gross and dirty however. Recommended for sure as Subway is good food in general”

“We stopped at this Wendy's again as it was requested by our son. After the last experience being 6 years ago (see below) I hoped it had improved. To our pleasant surprise it has improved greatly. The building has been updated and is very spacious. The ordering had kiosk option or counter and the staff was friendly. A complete 180 from before. The food was tasty and warm. The fries at Wendy's are my preferred fast food option. Very glad we stopped here and gave it another shot. Thank you for the pleasant road trip meal.

Stood at the front counter for a few minutes and no one even acknowledged us. No eye contact or "we'll be with you soon". Even walking to the frosty machine they did nothing. Worst service my wife or I have gotten at a fast food restaurant. Culver's is just 200 feet to the east and that would be my suggestion for quick food in Clear Lake.”
