“I am not sure how this place is for a bar, although it looked like a fun crowd on even a week night. However I do love this place because it is one of the few, scratch that, the only BAR AND GAS STATION that I have ever seen. You can get cheaper fuel here than anywhere else in the area. You just need to pay cash inside.I think that is a perfectly good reason to check the place out. It is something everyone should see.“

“We stopped by this place last night on a whim because the line for the buffet was too long of a wait. We were not disappointed at all! I had an aperol spritz and it was strong and did the job. Our complimentary bread was soft and warm! We didn’t have reservations so we sat at the bar and the bartender was really down to earth and helpful in recommending crowd favorites. I ended up ordering the New York strip with a buttered baked potato and my guy ordered the prime rib with Mac and cheese. The food was 10/10 phenomenal! Every single bite was mouth watering I would compare this to any high end restaurant that I have been to. I did not see the poor reviews until I was about to post mine BUT I completely disagree and had an entirely different experience! I had mentioned we were celebrating for my birthday and they offered me a complimentary desert of my choosing! The prices were on the higher end but we did not mind paying them for the quality of the food and service which was received. We will be back you better believe!“

“I love Martini's & this place was on my list for my bday on 12/15 - yes I know its not open on Sun, so my plan was to go on Sat the 14th. Weather interfered w ice storm on Fri 13th, so Sat night was super packed & i wasn't able to even get in....no biggie, went to Roxxy n had a blast! Fast forward to my bff coming out from NY n here for Christmas n we decided to go out on 12/28 n try again & yay we were able to finally get in! The place is so elegant n beautiful & has a very classy comfortable feeling to it - I knew I would 💜 it! At the bar talking about my quest n fail of trying to come here for my bday a few weeks ago, sitting next to me was the bar manager Carmen - she said she'd buy me a shot n I was like "oh cool", I never saw it so thought she was just being nice n a totally forgot n I thought 'its ok, no biggie"....then I go to pay my bill & turns out she picked up my 1st round of drinks - so extremely super sweet of her & I appreciated that n her so much. “Great drinks. Good selection of drinks. The bar is open until 1:30AM. They accept Apple Pay. The music is chill. They have enough seating for if you are by yourself or with a group of 8. They even have group drinks ready to make to share. They also have seasonal drinks to taste. I've celebrated my birthday and my sister birthday here and its always great vibes.“

“I have visited True American with some regularity since they opened and have always had a good experience. The menu has diverse and innovative cocktail offerings and the staff are great. I'm convinced the negative reviews are trolls sent by competing local dives.“

“This is the best bar in Omaha, which makes it the best bar in an approximate 600 mile radius. All the bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable, to the extent that they all have their own custom cocktails on the menu. I have never had a more personable experience in the service industry, either. I could come here on any given day and find something here or even in myself that I didn't have the day before. “I’d been here before to simply enjoy their alcoholic milkshakes - but little did I know that I was heavily sleeping on the food!
Of course, I have to mention that the service was fabulous. They were super attentive, despite the diner ‘phone ordering’ style of the spot. They cleaned a table out front for me since I didn’t want to sit in the back (it’s dark and I get sleepy haha I’ll wait for natural light!), constantly ensured our space was cleared, and checked on us regularly.

The drinks are always great, and I would recommend the mint chip one the most. I also enjoy their mezcal cocktail!
But
BUT
Their side of Mac and cheese is what really blew me away! It took longer than the other food ordered at the table (nachos - also delicious, burgers, and fries) BUT was entirely worth the wait. Their Mac and cheese is far from store bought, with a thick creamy sauce that is heavy and filling. It’s seasoned well, but not overpowering to the cheesy-ness. The pull of the cheese said it all! The top was clearly baked, crispy and dark. I was truly in Mac and cheese heaven and made sure to have my friend give it a try as well, who was also incredibly impressed. While it is only a side, since it is so dense, it serves me as a meal! Highly recommend you give this spot a try for the vibes, but don’t sleep on the Mac!“

“Our first trip to Gather couldn’t have gone better. The host, Steve was super accommodating in seating us. I appreciated the table farther away from the majority of the business as it was quieter and more intimate. Our waitress, Cathleen was extremely helpful and super friendly, even giving our oldest daughter individualized attention without being annoying like a lot of servers are when we are trying to enjoy a night out as a family. The brussel sprouts were fantastic. I don’t know if I’ll ever eat them without cranberries again; who would have known. They added such a pop of brightness to the dish. My wife had the pad Thai and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Wagyu flat iron with Chimichurri, and where so many restaurants fail, they succeeded in having a well-balanced sauce that wasn’t overly acidic and provided a welcomed heat to the dish. Loved the elote corn which was kept warm the entire meal having been served in its own skillet. We also ordered the Mac and cheese which was very good, and even the chicken strips we ordered for our daughter was a shelf above any other restaurant. My daughter loved the donut holes and the birthday cake they prepared, although simple, was surprisingly delicious. They even do the simple things well! By far, the best dessert was the Strawberry-Basil sorbet; such a fresh and delightful way to end the meal. One of the things that stuck out to me most was the attention we got from the manager, Tony. Most of the time you see managers walking around, it feels like they are just “doing their job,” but this guy was bringing food out to customers, checking in with tables, assisting in any way he could, and genuinely looked liked he loved being there. He checked on a few questions we had about the food and he also gave special attention to our daughter which definitely elevated her experience. The service, food, atmosphere and getting to see their Hydroponic garden make this a must visit! Will definitely be back.“

“Cute place with plenty of seating. We were able to make a reservation online and get right in with two adults and a high chair. The waitress we had was very friendly and did a great job answering any questions and explaining the menu. We had the crab rangoons, everything smoked salmon, and 3 sushi rolls…all were delicious. The atmosphere and pricing seem fine, but the bartender used cranberry juice in my tequila sunrise instead of grenadine, so my drink was way funky..I probably won’t make it a point to come back.“

“We held my daughter’s bridal shower at the Omaha location. The venue was perfect! I worked with Maddie prior to the event; she answered all of my questions and we had the details ironed out ahead of time.
The day of the event was fantastic! We set up rather quickly and had everything ready to go by the time of the shower. Everyone had a fantastic time and the venue provided the perfect setting and ambiance. Our bartender Kelly was amazing! I’m highly recommend hosting an event at Saro!“

“Honestly, hands down the best service and staff at any hotel I’ve stayed at in ages. The room was really nice, the amenities were great, and every single staff member I interacted with was outstanding and so kind. We had to shelter in the basement because of tornadoes and the staff went above and beyond, bringing chairs down for everyone, snacks, water bottles, and checking on everyone and keeping us all updated as massive storms went through the area. Next time I need to be in Omaha, I know where I’m staying!“

“Great breakfast with both traditional dishes and a great variety of Mexican restaurant inspired featured dishes. We've been there about 4 or 5 times now and its a great place for breakfast in downtown Omaha.

They do serve Stories coffee, lattes, mocha, etc. So thats a plus.

We last went on a Saturday around lunch time and got a table right away. They have mimosas on Satirdays amd they looked popular, although we didn't try them.

The overall place inside is great, but I only gave it 3 stars for atmosphere because the bartender making mimosas (non-stop) was throwing the champagne bottles into a trash barrel full of other bottls really hard and making it crazy loud in there. Im OK with the usual restaurant noise, but there was a loud glass o. Glass bottle noise about every couple minutes.
