“I am not sure how this place is for a bar, although it looked like a fun crowd on even a week night. However I do love this place because it is one of the few, scratch that, the only BAR AND GAS STATION that I have ever seen. You can get cheaper fuel here than anywhere else in the area. You just need to pay cash inside.I think that is a perfectly good reason to check the place out. It is something everyone should see.“

“After stopping at a not-so-great restaurant, I needed a palate cleanser. I began searching for a good local bar or restaurant in the area and stumbled upon a local couple who suggested Berry & Rye. I’m thankful they did, or I would have likely called it a night. I tried their Old Fashioned and Yukon Gold cocktails, and both were pretty good! Once I sat down, an individual, I believe was the owner, started talking to me. He shared stories and vast knowledge about different distilleries across the Midwest. Such experiences are rare in larger cities and made my first few hours in Omaha a little sweeter.“

“Laka Lono is one of my favorite "hidden" bars to stop at while I'm visiting Omaha. I'm allergic to Pineapple and Coconut (most of the menu) and the bartender went above and beyond to recommend a drink I could have and took extra care while preparing it. 10/10 recommend this cool little spot!“

“The fortunate son cocktail was really good! I enjoyed the banana. There’s tons of different drink options including a huuuge cocktail menu. I will definitely come back and try the caffeinated cocktail menu. There’s typical bar snacks available, and a super cute photo booth! “I love Martini's & this place was on my list for my bday on 12/15 - yes I know its not open on Sun, so my plan was to go on Sat the 14th. Weather interfered w ice storm on Fri 13th, so Sat night was super packed & i wasn't able to even get in....no biggie, went to Roxxy n had a blast! Fast forward to my bff coming out from NY n here for Christmas n we decided to go out on 12/28 n try again & yay we were able to finally get in! The place is so elegant n beautiful & has a very classy comfortable feeling to it - I knew I would 💜 it! At the bar talking about my quest n fail of trying to come here for my bday a few weeks ago, sitting next to me was the bar manager Carmen - she said she'd buy me a shot n I was like "oh cool", I never saw it so thought she was just being nice n a totally forgot n I thought 'its ok, no biggie"....then I go to pay my bill & turns out she picked up my 1st round of drinks - so extremely super sweet of her & I appreciated that n her so much. “All the food was delicious. The drinks were on point! The fries are crispy, thin, salty, fluffy and delicious!! Macaroni and cheese was baked to perfection/ my daughter ate the leftovers and said it’s the best she’s had. My husband gave two thumbs up to the fried chicken bucket and he’s usually pretty picky about his fried chicken, so this is very positive! The chicken was served with a dish of blackened ranch dressing….YUM! we dipped the fries in the ranch…anything would taste good dipped in this dressing. I ate the vegan meatloaf sandwich with Texas toast grilled to crispy perfection, making this sandwich very delicious! What a surprise to have awesome vegan options on the menu…Thank you Fizzy’s! What makes this place even better is the atmosphere. The vibes in here are 50’s diner/bar and I love it, I mean, who doesn’t love a pink barstool??!! I will be back for the atmosphere and drinks, and I will need the fries again soon. My hubby’s vesper was expertly mixed. I had a mezcal drink from the pop-up, it was unique and tasty, served in a fun glass with a lovely marinated cherry garnish. 💕 LOVE

Vegetarian options: I had a vegan meatloaf sandwich. The Texas toast was perfectly crisp and delicious. The meatloaf was nutty, vegan mayo and bbq sauce topped it off well. Yum! This was a special dish offered on their pop-up menu.“

“Our first trip to Gather couldn’t have gone better. The host, Steve was super accommodating in seating us. I appreciated the table farther away from the majority of the business as it was quieter and more intimate. Our waitress, Cathleen was extremely helpful and super friendly, even giving our oldest daughter individualized attention without being annoying like a lot of servers are when we are trying to enjoy a night out as a family. The brussel sprouts were fantastic. I don’t know if I’ll ever eat them without cranberries again; who would have known. They added such a pop of brightness to the dish. My wife had the pad Thai and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Wagyu flat iron with Chimichurri, and where so many restaurants fail, they succeeded in having a well-balanced sauce that wasn’t overly acidic and provided a welcomed heat to the dish. Loved the elote corn which was kept warm the entire meal having been served in its own skillet. We also ordered the Mac and cheese which was very good, and even the chicken strips we ordered for our daughter was a shelf above any other restaurant. My daughter loved the donut holes and the birthday cake they prepared, although simple, was surprisingly delicious. They even do the simple things well! By far, the best dessert was the Strawberry-Basil sorbet; such a fresh and delightful way to end the meal. One of the things that stuck out to me most was the attention we got from the manager, Tony. Most of the time you see managers walking around, it feels like they are just “doing their job,” but this guy was bringing food out to customers, checking in with tables, assisting in any way he could, and genuinely looked liked he loved being there. He checked on a few questions we had about the food and he also gave special attention to our daughter which definitely elevated her experience. The service, food, atmosphere and getting to see their Hydroponic garden make this a must visit! Will definitely be back.“

The waitress we had was very friendly and did a great job answering any questions and explaining the menu. We had the crab rangoons, everything smoked salmon, and 3 sushi rolls…all were delicious. “We showed up a little after midnight, so we got there a little late for the live music & the crowd had died down; there were only 5 other people there. The atmosphere and pricing seem fine, but the bartender used cranberry juice in my tequila sunrise instead of grenadine, so my drink was way funky..I probably won’t make it a point to come back.“

“We held my daughter’s bridal shower at the Omaha location. The venue was perfect! I worked with Maddie prior to the event; she answered all of my questions and we had the details ironed out ahead of time.
The day of the event was fantastic! We set up rather quickly and had everything ready to go by the time of the shower. Everyone had a fantastic time and the venue provided the perfect setting and ambiance. Our bartender Kelly was amazing! I’m highly recommend hosting an event at Saro!“

“Saw the Paper Canaries which were great. They had a saxophone player with them that really added a lot. We all shared four delicious appetizers which was the perfect amount of food and the drinks were also well made. They had a fun smoked old fashioned.
This is no reason not to go but for the manager's knowledge, drink service in the beginning was very slow. It didn't look like they had enough help.“

“Honestly, hands down the best service and staff at any hotel I’ve stayed at in ages. The room was really nice, the amenities were great, and every single staff member I interacted with was outstanding and so kind. We had to shelter in the basement because of tornadoes and the staff went above and beyond, bringing chairs down for everyone, snacks, water bottles, and checking on everyone and keeping us all updated as massive storms went through the area. Next time I need to be in Omaha, I know where I’m staying!“

“I went in on a Thursday around 9pm and it was DEAD, which I thought was weird. The bartender, Lexi, was very nice and fun to talk to but their options seem a bit limited. I didn't go there when it was busy so maybe give this place a try when there's not 300 people there and you'll enjoy it more.“

The restaurant is part of a hotel built in the early 1930's, the decor was very nice. It's a small quaint restaurant with excellent service.“
