“This is a Great Restaurant with delicious home prepared food, excellent quality all around. So Glad we have it it the Council Bluffs area and its open 7 days a week, so if your looking for really good eats on Sunday (when everything else is closed), this is the place! Love it.“

“Cute place with plenty of seating. We were able to make a reservation online and get right in with two adults and a high chair. The waitress we had was very friendly and did a great job answering any questions and explaining the menu. We had the crab rangoons, everything smoked salmon, and 3 sushi rolls…all were delicious. We both really enjoyed our drinks as well. I would return!“

“Whoever said customer service is gone has not worked with general manager Roland!! He was absolutely amazing! Despite it being a very busy evening, he saved the day when I booked the wrong date in Open table for 14 people!!! Instead of turning us away (like he had every right to do!) he went out of his way to come up with a creative solution and seat us! I cannot say enough about the extra mile this man went to help me!!! And then to top it all off the food and service were amazing! They have some fun multicourse options as well as anything else you could imagine. My son said the scallops were the best he had ever had!“

I had a migraine from hell today and needed food…the Doordash location (not this location but the one in the mall) forgot my sauces… I called, chaotically I’m sure- I’m cranky from this migraine, and they were so sweet. I asked if I could grab sauces after my work shift since they’re in walking distance, and they walked them to me for lunch instead!!Best customer service ever! “We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was friendly and personable. We ordered our drinks which were served promptly. We had grilled oysters as an appetizer and they were tasty and tender - best I have ever had. We also had a sweet lettuce salad. I had a lobster bisque which was extremely tasty and had several chunks of lobster - very nice. Not the best I have ever had but I did spend 23 years living on the coast of New England. For entrees my wife had a lobster roll which was excellent and used a butter rather than mayonnaise which she liked a lot. I had trouble deciding among three entrees but went for the blackened catfish and dirty rice. I really enjoyed. The entire wait staff was friendly and came by to wish my wife a happy birthday. Nice touch and very personal. We do a lot of shows and concerts downtown and always combine with a dinner. We will be going back to The Plank.“

“Wow! We stopped here on a whim when trying to find a place to eat outside of the Henry Doorly Zoo. And I have to say, it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time (I got the guacamole bacon burger). It was HUGE and tasted so good, and the fries were good as well.

We ate right outside the front door since there were some tables and chairs along the sidewalk. The service was excellent, and we’ll definitely come back again when visiting the area. There’s a cool mural on the back side of the building too. Parking is a little tight. It’s less than 5 minutes driving from the zoo.“

“It was our first time eating here. We ate here on Sunday 6/17/24 before the Oliver Anthony concert. The place was packed & the service was slow. A slower serve time was to be expected because it was Father’s Day. The brisket was melt in your mouth. The best we have ever had. We’ve ate a lot of different BBQ places. The Mac & cheese was perfect & creamy. The cornbread was on point. The food was so amazing, that the hour & a half wait for our food didn’t seem so bad. Don’t go here if you are in a hurry. “Have frequented Pizza King many times over the years and have usually had good service. Saw our server we normally have had lately and she said we were sitting in her section and she would be right back. Had a different server named Will for some reason. Right after he took our order Shelby came over and was upset. I told her it was ok. He was ok but not our Shelby. Food was very good as usual“

“Great food and atmosphere but needs work on handling large crowds for events. Tonight my fiance and I had a wild experience lol. Arrived knowing we would wait, was quoted 30 min to 1 hour. Agreed and took a seat at the bar for drinks, table was available within the 30 min time frame which was great. Was seated and didn’t see a server for 35 minutes, we expected a wait and wasn’t too bothered at this point over it. Once the server came over to us he said he thought we were being taken care of already since I had a drink from the bar. We brushed it off and placed our drinks and food order at that time. My food came out within 5 minutes and we were pretty stunned with how quick that came considering how packed it was. Now, after 10 min of him not getting his order and we also didn’t have our drinks we looked around to find someone to ask. I called out to the server and the manager several times, but didn’t succeed in grabbing their attention and fiance didn’t want me to get up and find someone. 40 minutes after my food arrived the server came up to us and I asked about his food and our drinks. I said well just take our bill and a to go box for mine. He did bring out my fiancés order and removed it from the bill. We understand it’s not entirely the servers fault but overall we were pretty bummed since we do enjoy this spot for the atmosphere and the food has always been good. A few other tables also were saying they had similar experiences tonight and also just wanted their bills as well.“

“Seven One Two . We can't rate them high enough. Food, service and overall quality are excellent. Details below. To start off, I'm in a wheelchair. Most places that are accessible will watch my wife struggle to get through the door or a customer will help. Not the case here. My wife was about to grab for the door and one of the staff was right there, with a smile. We were seated immediately, out of the way, but not hidden in the corner. Our server, Sheree, was awesome. She answered our questions and explained the specials. She returned appropriately fast to take our order. Being about 2/3 full, I was expecting a bit of a wait, but our drinks were brought out quickly. The food is excellent. Expect it to be what the menu says it will be, not what you want or think it might be. We had the crab cakes for our appetizer. It had a good amount of crab and not all bread crumbs. My wife had the peach flatbread. Exactly what the menu said it would be and delicious. I had the beef stroganoff. After a little hiccup, it was as ordered and very yummy. We were disappointed that we didn't have room for a dessert, but we will make sure to leave room in the future. When we were leaving, 2 staff members were headed to open the door for us. Checking out their Facebook page, we will be back for the wine and flatbread special soon.“

“When my son and daughter-in-law told me this is where they wanted the reversal dinner I was skeptical. I was wrong. This was great food and the service was solid. The manager checked in several times and was even running food and drinks for our very large group. The pizza was delicious with a crunchy crust and perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings! Barstool sports would give it easily a 8.2 on their pizza ratings. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here or recommend it to anyone. Great job Smokin'Oak Wood-Fired Pizza and Taproom!“

“my daughter and I went to barleys yesterday for lunch. loved that it was handicap accessible without any steps. We sat towards the back of the reatraunt and was quickly serviced by a waitress to get our drink orders and given menus. I ordered the patty melt and my daughter ordered a Canadian pizza. both were really good. the only thing we wished were different and I say we because she stole a lot of my fries lol were the fries needed seasoned with something. we had to add salt. and the patty melt sandwich could've used an added sauce like Dorothy lynch or something. it wasn't dry just needed something else to add flavor. otherwise it was really good. will definitely be back.“

“Loooove Valentino's for their delicious cheeseburger pizza, manicotti, and pasta bakes! However, for a classic cheese, can't say I'd recommend this place. “Awesome Experience! At first I wasn’t impressed. My server seemed to be really off, she fumbled her words, had a hard time answering my questions, (maybe she was nervous) etc. I ordered a martini but she brought me something terrible in a rocks glass! We ordered, the salad bar was amazing!!! Fresh and had several choices. Our meal was another story, our waitress got our order wrong. I wanted chicken parmigiana and I got a sandwich?! She did get it corrected but I had to wait longer. At the end of our meal the manager trish came over to offer apologies. She also brought me the martini I originally asked for that she said she made herself. Awesome!! It was delicious!! She was friendly, chatted with us for a moment and deliver our bill. She didn’t even charge me for the drink! We noticed her guiding our server who was then having issues at another table. I would say we won’t be back but Trish really helped turned our opinion around! She’s definitely a manager who cares! We will give it another try and hopefully just get a more proficient server!“
