Corner Bar Bar • $
121 E Water St, Decorah

“Enjoyable place to drink, staff is pleasant, drinks are reasonably priced. I will say that there always seems to be some sort of fight between the younger crowd quite often, so it's typically avoided on weekends due to being wall to wall packed with a younger (drunk, aggressive) crowd and no control from the bartenders. But weekdays are a go to.“

Your Place Bar • $$

“Even though I've lived here 10 years, today was my first experience with Your Place and we loved it. It was curbside pick up due to social distancing, but so easy to do! Julie is one of the new owners, and one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. She made Shirley Temples for our boys when we were just looking for a soda for them to share so we could allow her time for other customers. Their eyes lit up when they found out that was an option!! They loved getting the "little sword" filled with cherries. An added bonus when they took of the lid at home. It was such a bright spot in their week after 6 weeks of social distancing. We will certainly go back again, and I'll finally make it inside once we're able to do so again in the future. Thank you Adam and Julie for being open during this time!“

Whiskey Grove Bar • $$
102 Main St, Calmar - 9.25 miles

“Stopped here during a girls weekend. It was not bad but it was not great either. Stopped in a little before 9pm and the kitchen was already closed. Sad considering it was a Friday night and they stay open till 2am. We wanted a snack after having a late lunch that day and struck out. The drinks were not bad. They do not have a full bar, drinks are limited to what sells. It was also very quiet. We were the biggest group with only 2 other groups there. Had a bunch of pool tables, darts, and a few arcade games. But no one was using any of them.Bartender was very attentive and helpful and even did table service.“

The Bar Bar • $$
The Bar, Calmar

“Easy to get to, plenty of parking and large dining/drinking area with friendly staff makes this a great place to visit. We did not dine but rather we were interested in doing flights. Beer had interesting names using the names of towns in the area making it fun as we were familiar with most. Our brews were really good and there was a wide variety to choose from. We will go back again and will to recommend the brewery.“
