“Just waited in the drive thru at the speaker for 20 MINUTES! Definitely NOT freaky fast! Had to drive off and go to quick trip now ill be late getting back to work from my lunch break. Horrible experience.
6-17-25 Update on JJ: decided to give em another shot. This time I went inside for fear of the drive thru wait from last time. Things went much smoother ordered a #12 no tomatoes, extra avocado. They nailed it, got me out FAST, MUCH better experience.“

Shout-out to Michael at Jimmy John's on Merle Hay — Truly Outstanding!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to take a moment to recognize someone who genuinely made my day better. I walked into the Jimmy John’s on Merle Hay, and from the moment I stepped in, Michael made me feel so welcomed, seen, and appreciated.
He was very friendly, super helpful, and treated me with a level of care you just don’t see much anymore. Michael didn’t have to go the extra mile—but he chose to, and that’s what made all the difference. He made my experience the best it could be, and honestly, people like him are rare to come by in customer service nowadays.
This kind of energy and kindness deserves to be recognized. Michael should be known for how he treats people—with excellence, respect, and warmth. I truly hope the company sees what a gift he is to their team.

“Just came in for my normal slim 5, their tasty salt and vinegar chips, and a drink. In and out in roughly 15 to 20 minutes all said and done.
Seemed fine to me, can't speak for others.
Have never had a bad experience here, but that's just me.“
“Yep, it's a Jimmy John's like every other Jimmy John's. Nothing special, but fairly consistent food. The service was on the slower side here, and the shop felt small and a little claustrophobic. Overall it's like every other JJ I've been to. The new lemon berry cobbler cookies are pretty delicious though.“

“I eat here 1-2 times a week for lunch. The staff always greets me with a smile and friendly hello. They always know my order by heart, which is always correct, and fast.
If you get delivery, it can sometimes take an extra 15-30 minutes, but that's to be expected at lunchtime downtown DSM.
If I could give the staff 6 stars, I would!

“Food good, staff is nice not too much lines, highly say with there fast workers it's good food to go or stay, love how they make my sandwich which I can include onions yum!
Vegetarian options: They got any choice which you can reject the meats on some, highly love but but they also have all mixs so I'd say to try this!
Kid-friendliness: Very much loved the space, and plenty of room for kids to roam and to keep eyes on, very warm on cold days and very cool on hot, I say go for it!
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes plenty of room and very much safe for use, though the doors are nit the staff will often help and the smiles show such human passion!“
