I used to say that Popeyes on the Southside was the worst in town. Not anymore. It’s the Merle Hay one. Not because of the food but because of the Caliber people they let continually work there. It’s not a Black vs white issue either. It’s a PEOPLE issue. The place is always a hot mess to deal with regardless of if its picking up a Door Dash order to go deliver or your own personal order. Paid $60 for takeout. Arrived 10 minutes after the “your food is ready time”. They refused to give us our order because we didn’t order using the speaker . We sat at the window for 20 minutes after they slammed the window in our faces. We are out $60 for absolutely no reason.
Waited 15 mins to order, got to the window and showed a coupon for bogo 2 piece. Was told we couldn’t use it because it was not mentioned at ordering box. No way to know that and cashier just threw her hands in the air and said I don’t know what to do. Then other employee said if they didn’t mention it they can’t use it. She then asked what I wanted to do. Also very rude employees.
Chick-fil-a was so much better!
