Dubuque staple for a birthday party. This is the best happy joes in the world. Change my mind.Parking: If it's busy, you might need to park in the back.Kid-friendliness: Arcade games, tickets can be turned in for candy. Icream parlor.Wheelchair accessibility: Roll in/ roll out. No steps or elevator.
We are from out of town and when we found out that there was a Happy Joe's in Dubuque, we had to eat here. We have so many childhood memories of this place. Everything was better than we remembered. The pizza was the best pizza we have eaten. The waitress was great! She helped us with ordering and she made us up a Smores ice cream sundea which was delicious. She boxed our pizza up so it will fit in our hotel frig. We will be eating Herr again the next time we are in Dubuque.

The place hasn't changed at all on the inside (carpet, chairs, etc). We had a family of 8 for birthdays made reservations for seating and when we got there they had no idea of such reservations for a bigger table of 8. They wrapped our to-go pizzas in foil instead of boxing it up which was weird. No more roller skates, or happy cheerful honks like I remember when I was a kid.
