“If you’re in Iowa it’s hard to find good authentic Mexican. This place is great however. Realize this is Iowa and locals seem to prefer bland non-Spicey food so be prepared for the food to be very mild by default. If you want authentic be sure to ask for it. The wonderful thing is they know and will give you Spicey if you ask for it. My favorite dish is steak chimichangas - ask for steak cause it’s not on the menu. Better than the beef IMHO. House salsa is flavorful as is, but you can add hot sauce if you like.“
“Obviously my opinion is biased because I worked here off & on for years but it tastes exactly like mexican food from the MIDWEST should taste! It's not exactly authentic Mexican cuisine but it is delicious & consistent. I love Amigos, the salsa, enchiladas and soft shells tacos will always be my favorite“
“Your standard co-branded franchise. (KFC is the other side of the menu) the dining are is well lit and fairly clean. The service is usually pretty good. If it takes longer to make your order they will bring it to you. Self service on the drinks and condiments. For healthier options you can customize your order. The restrooms are adequately kept (at least the men's room was).“
“A hidden gem of delishusness. This family restaurant with a Mexican flair is adorned with local murals and is a must-go in my opinion. I had the Al pastor burrito with green salsa. Oh boy it was good! My son had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and he gave it a thumbs up. The staff was terrific. Don't forget to give them a try. Unfortunately they are open for breakfast and lunch.“
