“Stopped in for an Untappd badge. On a Sunday evening it is very quiet. It is the stereotypical small town bar. The people inside knew each other "Norm!!" The one employee working was very nice and she took our photo. My mother in law was introduced to PBR and liked it.“
“When traveling it is rare for us to stop for a leisurely meal, but in Grinnell we found ourselves with time and wanted a place where we could sit outdoors with our dog and enjoy a bite to eat and an adult beverage. This place delivered on all fronts. After too many heavy midwestern meals, the Mahi salad on romaine with mango and avocado was refreshing on this warm evening. My husband enjoyed the bbq pizza with a couple IPAs. I treated myself to a Manhattan that was on point. Service was brisk and there was no pressure to free our table. It was family friendly. They brought our pup a bowl of water. The restaurant and town is a couple miles off the interstate, but we will make a point to stop again. Lastly, we found ourselves close to the college campus which was a nice area to spend some time walking around after the meal.“

And if you're down for a funny story ask if Stubby is here ask him about the opossum at Golden Sun Feeds and when he tells you tell him Kenny says hi! It's a funny story worth hearing from good ol' Iowa town folk!“
“We love this restaurant for a date night or special evening. The chef specials are always excellent & the waygu beef is over the top excellent. Service is always prompt and attentive. Leave room for dessert, because they have great creme brulee and several other fine choices. The bar will not dissapoint either. We gladly drive 45 min to get here to enjoy an evening at the Prairie Canary.“
