First off, my expectations of Mexican food in the middle of Iowa were very low. Just being realistic. But the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. And when their English is difficult to understand you know you're getting authentic. Queso was good enough. Recommend the small, the portion was spot on. The tortillas tasted fresh made. Bright and busy Mexican food restaurant near I-80 motels. Located in small strip mall by Walmart in Grinnell. Lots of parking. Initial restaurant service. can be aggressive so take your time in ordering and don't be rushed. Excellent guacamole starter, good flank steak enchilada, good chile rellenos.
