Heirloom Salad Company - Downtown is a nice quick stop in Iowa. The food is really good and made with quality ingredients and tasty combinations. The tomato soup is definitely made from scratch and delicious, and the bread tastes homemade. The Italian salami melt and the caprese chicken are very delicious sandwiches. For a massive salad, customers can choose from menu items or build their own. The service is very good, and the people working there are helpful and talkative. One visitor enjoyed a morning muscle that came out perfectly. The place is like a cozy old house with lots of wood, which is surprising since it is in a strip mall. The atmosphere is quiet and calm with giant windows letting in natural light and cool photos on the walls. One side is the Heirloom Salad Co and the other is the Java House. Online hours say Heirloom Salad Co is open til 5pm, but it closes at 3pm, so customers should check hours. It shares an entrance door with a coffee shop, and there are plenty of tables for small or large groups. This is the best place for healthy salads.
