This place looks like a "regulars pit stop" in Iowa City. The people here seemed to be relaxed and I saw one couple who didn't even open the menu, they knew what they wanted, lol. Good sign! I ordered a baked whitefish dinner, which came with a side salad, roll, choice of potato (I ordered baked), and a vegetable, (broccoli). All was great! If you're looking for a friendly, reasonably-priced local restaurant, with good food, you can't beat the Eastside Midtown Family Restaurant. Caution: Leave your pretensions at the door, because you may be dining next to a man in a business suit or a farmer in his bibbies! Everyone is welcome and met with a smile. The servers are awesome, and so is the food!
