“Myself and six friends swung by this place for dinner during a five day stay in this quaint town on the Mississippi River. We’ve come to this town s few times because the roads lining the river are phenomenal for motorcycling. Our waitress is super friendly and repeatedly and patiently explained what their best dishes were and she highly recommended the nightly special which was two pieces of chicken and two pieces of deep fried battered cod. She was correct the fish was awesome. Even the coleslaw is excellent along with the homemade American potatoes. The only downside of this place is he don’t take credit cards or debit cards, but The attached buyer does have an ATM. So if you find yourself cruising the upper Mississippi river valley and you’re hungry and you’re in the area I highly recommend this place“

“Small, not fancy, but a good bar and grill. Has a bar, a few tables (maybe 4), two booths, and a small dinette counter with four or five stools. A mom and daughter, probably the owners, cooked all the food. It was simple and very good. I had the Friday lunch special of goulash (better than it sounds). The other specials were a turkey club and a chicken fried steak. A variety of burgers and sandwiches are available. A fish fry is available for dinner on Fridays. They do have take out. Several people called ahead and then ran into pick up up their food and go. The service was good and everyone was friendly. Bathrooms very clean.If you're going through New Albin, Iowa, I recommend a stop.“
“My husband was shooting on pool league as a sub we did not eat here. However we have in the past and food has been delicious as always. Great stop to get a drink and meal. I still wish that some of the activities would return. Trivia night, music and dancing we really miss that and others I have talked toothers feel the same.“
“I had the chicken strips and jalapeño poppers and it was amazing! The staff there were super friendly. I would definitely come back again!edit: if i see this again this was when i went on that fishing trip with frank, we caught a well amount of blue gill and crappie and had a delish fish fry. “Me and my Girlfriend came in for dinner. We were immediately greeted with a smile and told we could sit anywhere. We sat down ordered drinks and an appetizer. Both came out quick and cheese curds were delicious, got our main dish order in and it came out in a timely manner. We both were happy with how fresh the food was and overall price. “We just held our wedding reception at this location. The owner was extremely easy to work with and the venue is gorgeous. We didnt have to do a lot of decorating because we let the beauty of the venue show. The staff was very friendly and helpful to our guests. They kept things very simple and smooth very everyone there. The bartender was awesome, she had everyone laughing and served immediately. She never missed a beat. The venue housed about 80 guests very very comfortably. My guests were obsessed with the food provided and were asking me if they could take some home with them. I highly recommend the smoked brisket and bbq chicken!!!!“
