“Excellent!Update, enjoyed another great meal there tonight, the servers were awesome and the food spectacular this is one place you can't miss out on. If you love chicken their broasted chicken is second to none! Tonight I had the chicken and the brisket sandwich and although I was skeptical of the brisket sandwich it had just the right amount of smoke and was nice and tender, trust me you don't leave this place hungry and at a pretty good price point.“

“5 stars all the way. The Hideout may be a small hole-in-the-wall bar in Germantown, but wow, the food was excellent. I hadn’t been there in probably 15 years and it was every bit as good as I remembered. The broasted chicken was outstanding — crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. My spouse had the chicken tenders and loved those too. Everything came out hot and fresh and there wasn’t anything left on our plates.

If you’re looking for fancy, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want great food, friendly people, and one of those hidden small-town Iowa gems, The Hideout is absolutely worth the stop.“
