“5 stars all the way. The Hideout may be a small hole-in-the-wall bar in Germantown, but wow, the food was excellent. I hadn’t been there in probably 15 years and it was every bit as good as I remembered. The broasted chicken was outstanding — crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. My spouse had the chicken tenders and loved those too. Everything came out hot and fresh and there wasn’t anything left on our plates.

If you’re looking for fancy, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want great food, friendly people, and one of those hidden small-town Iowa gems, The Hideout is absolutely worth the stop.”
