“This is a place we frequent several times a year. It might not be authentic Mexican, but the food is usually delicious and just to my liking. The chips were just a little off/stale last time but the salsa and queso were great so still good overall. My Chimichanga with cheese sauce was crispy and hot and flavorful. I like that I can pair it with a salad instead of rice and beans, though there is an upcharge. I also had a margarita, usually do a flavored one. This was a Wicked theme pink lemonade one and while it's was good, I'd go back to my strawberry next time.

Place wasn't overly busy but not overly quick either. We were their to socialize as much as eat so no complaints on the pace. Our server was pleasant and attentive.“

“When the Marion store first opened they understandably had their problems then it finally got much better. Went there tonight and it was worse than when when they first opened. 1. The burrito press was broke. 2. Every meat was dry and simple looked bad. 3. The queso was dark yellow. 4. I get that serving food isn’t a fun job but at least act like your a little interested in your job-geez people. My daughter and I spent over $23.00 on a meal that wasn’t good at all and neither of was able to finish our meal. Sad. I guess we’ll just have to return the NE CR store instead of spending our money in Marion.“

I picked up a few cheeses and spices to make queso, and the quality was outstanding. the Oaxaca was far better than anything you’d find at a big-box store. “I have went to Papa Juan’s since I was prob 8 years old. As a kid we are here every Friday because it was affordable, good food with great service. Nothing has changed in the 32 years I have been going here. Still great good food, amazing service and prices that you can actually afford to take your family without breaking the bank. Staff is always friendly and the managers are someone who you can talk to on a personal level. We will continue to go back knowing we will have a good experience.“

“The new Mexican pizza wasn't bad. It's paper thin so it's actually cooked. We all go here for the potato oles so that's what matters. They were good. I learned a very important thing about oles from Taco johns. Leave the bag open on the way home. This will keep them from getting soggy. If I close up the bag they are a soggy mess by the time I get home which is only 10-15 mins.

This Taco Johns I went to is new and seemed well ran. We did not have to pull forward and wait 10 mins for our food to be walked out to the car. That's pretty common lately and it isn't convenient for going on your lunch break. Nope.

Now if we could get them to bring back the old fries and the ranch burrito from the 90's.“
